Dolfan in NYC Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Somehow improbably, we're here again. Regular season starts tomorrow. Let's hope they can get through it. In the meantime, a classic moment: 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted December 21, 2020 Author Posted December 21, 2020 I'm expecting Harden to be eating croquetas and sipping a cubanito by 7am tomorrow.
Zimbra Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 New Orleans' Lonzo Ball and Dallas' Josh Richardson will not sign extensions before the deadline and become restricted and unrestricted free agents, respectively. Luke Kennard signed a 4yr/$64M extension and I still don't know which one is him and which is Luke Kornet.

elizium Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Andrew Wiggins is terrible. Neve really saw him with the Wolves, but in just one quarter he’s bricked several open shots and mishandled the ball multiple times in the key
Lawful Metal Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 See, no reason to break the chemistry on the Nets. Harden would totally make that situation toxic. You can’t trade for that! You need Jeff Jarrett, Paris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie (as if those are actual real players) 1
Zimbra Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 I can already tell this season is going to be exhausting. Anyway, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins are missing the season opener because of Covid tracing protocols. I wonder who they could have been exposed to... 2
Zimbra Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 And to be positive in this thread I really liked how the Lakers did their ring ceremony last night with the players' families and I think they should keep that going forward 2

RIPPA Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Harden and Dwayne Haskins would get along real well
Lawful Metal Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 It was KJ Martin who tested positive. KJ, Wall, Boogie and Jae-Sean Tate all got haircuts together. Harden has tested negative.
RIPPA Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Just in case you were wondering - everyone around here now thinks the Wizards are winning the East 1
NikoBaltimore Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) EDIT: Nevermind, looked up the answer to my question. But I wouldn't mind seeing Wizards take the East but I'd need to see what changed from last season to believe that. Edited December 24, 2020 by NikoBaltimore
RIPPA Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 A) like the other leagues - players didn’t want to be in a bubble for 6 months b) they think they can translate what they learned in the bubbles to each city (ie: players will follow protocols). We have already seen this is comically wrong c) they want fans back ASAP 2

But your second point is going to be something to think about throughout the season.
The Man Known as Dan Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 What the Hawks are doing to the Bulls without Capela, Okungwu, Dunn, and Rondo is just obscene.
Brian Fowler Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 So I'm seeing the list of players that were unable to play Wednesday, leading to cancellation. And it's like, Harden, Boogie, Wall, Kenyon Martin Jr.... Wait, what? I'm a billion years old.
Brian Fowler Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 5 straight blowouts can't be what the NBA was hoping for on Christmas. Especially with a record setting performance in the randomly happening today NFL game going against the middle of the lineup.
RandomAct Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 What can anyone realistically do against the Lakers if Bron and AD are both playing well? I'm not even sure a healthy KP would have made too much of a difference for Dallas last night. Our bigs suck. Powell and Cauley-Stein are just voids when it comes to anything other than rolling to the rim. I'm not overreacting to this game, but man, Rick has to figure some shit out.
Brian Fowler Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 The Lakers potentially are more vulnerable on the defensive end than they were last year, especially if Gasol continues to look like he's no longer capable of sliding his feet. But I have no fucking idea how you would go about defending them if LeBron and AD are healthy and fully engaged, and a couple other guys play halfway decently.
Lawful Metal Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 God I hope Curry doesn't goldbrick another injury and sits out the whole season again. I like him getting exposed. Harden and Wood look like the real deal. Just imagine if they didn't have six of their top guys sitting out a week for getting a haircut. And for a disgruntled guy, 44 points and 17 assists sure says otherwise. He's staying.
RIPPA Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Westbrook had another triple down The Wizards lost again That seems about right
