Dolfan in NYC Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Oh god, the Dolphins are favored against Atlanta. Ugh. My stomach won't be able to take this all week. Stupid Vegas. Also this 1
J.T. Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Steelers have Chicago this week. Good thing I start night duty this Saturday. That will prevent me from drowning my sorrows in booze and spend the night puking into a ditch. 1
Vincey Greene Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Giants/Panthers oughtta be terrible. I am of course rooting for the Giants. Bye week next week is a great time to make a change at head coach and I don't see it happening unless we lose convincingly. In truth I don't see Richardson doing it during the season but a man can dream. More seriously, Green Bay/Cincinnati should be fun. 1
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 You want the Giants to get rid of Coughlin? Seriously? American sports fans are the worst.
Vincey Greene Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 No, I want Carolina to get rid of the scourge that is Ron Rivera. Oh, I see what you did there.
J.T. Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 More seriously, Green Bay/Cincinnati should be fun. Fuck the Packers. 3
Newb82 Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 It would be the most BECAUSEBUFFALO thing ever to have that win over Carolina, then follow it up with a terrible road loss to the LOLJETS.
Ryan Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Steelers have Chicago this week. Good thing I start night duty this Saturday. That will prevent me from drowning my sorrows in booze and spend the night puking into a ditch. I thought that was your job.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 More seriously, Green Bay/Cincinnati should be fun. Fuck the Packers. How Aaron Rodgers gets a pass for being such an arrogant prick is beyond me. Those discount double check commercials aren't that good.
elizium Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Because he's better looking and more talented than Mark Sanchez?
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Because he's better looking and more talented than Mark Sanchez?
Brysynner Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 So what are the odds the Jaguars even come close to covering the 19.5-21 point spread in Seattle this week
johnnyboy Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Because he's better looking and more talented than Mark Sanchez? More talented, clearly, but Rodgers is a biffer compared to Sanchez. Luckily being attractive isn't a prerequisite to being a decent QB. If it were, Peyton would be wankered. Sir Tom, however, would still be numero uno.
jaedmc Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Ben Roethlisberger looks pretty good after a couple of drinks that he's served you. 12
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Ouch, Jae. True, but ouch. And Tommy Terrific wears tighty whiteys. Saw them on SNL. That multiplies his questionable hotness by ZERO.
Kuetsar Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 It would be the most BECAUSEBUFFALO thing ever to have that win over Carolina, then follow it up with a terrible road loss to the LOLJETS. Yeah, but this team seems like it MIGHT be breaking some old patterns, while keeping myself prepared for disappointment, its time for the Bills to kick someone's teeth in, and the Jest would fit the bill quite nicely. . .
bink_winkleman Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Oh god, the Dolphins are favored against Atlanta. Ugh. My stomach won't be able to take this all week. Stupid Vegas. Fins got this. It's at home and the Rams beat the Falcons to shit last Sunday, injury wise. Giants/Panthers oughtta be terrible. I am of course rooting for the Giants. Bye week next week is a great time to make a change at head coach and I don't see it happening unless we lose convincingly. I was at the last game last season where Carolina beat the Saints, and after the game I told the Panthers fan next to me, "Congrats on the win, sorry you guys are going to get stuck with Rivera now, though."
Jrag Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 First road game for the new Bears O-Line. No fucking idea how that's going to go. The Jax/Sea line is hysterical. The Seahawks defense might top their fantasy points from last week.
James F'n X Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 So what are the odds the Jaguars even come close to covering the 19.5-21 point spread in Seattle this week Let's just say I'm not too worried about this week's game. go hawks
Ryan Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Report: Several NFL Teams Interested In Tim Tebow As Grounds Crew Worker http://onion.com/15AxHw3 1
Josh Mann Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 The only reason Miami should even get the regular three point bump is because they're hosting a dome team. Otherwise, Joe Robbie Stadium is only worth 1.5 tops.
Death From Above Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 So Tim Tebow in this Onion line of thinking is actually Adam Sandler in The Waterboy except time runs backwards?
pipGofern Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 First road game for the new Bears O-Line. No fucking idea how that's going to go. The Steelers have one sack, ONE, through their first two games. I'd rest easy if I were Jay Cutler. More seriously, Green Bay/Cincinnati should be fun. I haven't watched Green Bay so maybe their defense is bad enough to make the game interesting but the idea Andy Dalton can hang in a shootout with Aaron Rodgers is laughable. I don't know when or how the Red Rifle convinced people he was a top tier QB but he really isn't. He's basically one step above Christian Ponder except his lone elite offensive weapon happens to be a WR instead of a RB. Man, when did the AFC North become the NFL equivalent of the MAC?
glfpunk Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Dalton is more than a step above Ponder. I wouldn't say he's a top tier QB but he's not in the bottom half either.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Dalton is in the bottom half of the QB Derby by default, if nothing else. There are only 8-10 guys who are clearly below him and 4-5 on par with him.
