My takeaway, besides the fact that Denver ran a hell of a scrimmage, is that the left tackle spot is the thermal port of that offense. Chris Clark might potentially be their undoing.

Aaaaaaand Pryor has a concussion. Clearly the Raiders can't have nice things.

OK, if the Redskins can't beat the Raiders next week, just shut down the season.

Have you been watching these games?  The Raiders have been playing much better than the Deadskins all year.  If Pryor doesn't play they have a better chance, but I think the Raiders are the better team right now.

Honestly if you look at their schedule, how many danger games do they really have?

Sep 5 Baltimore Won 49-27

Sep 15 @N.Y. Giants Won 41-23

Sep 23 Oakland 8:40 pm

Sep 29 Philadelphia 4:25 pm

Oct 6 @Dallas 4:25 pm

Oct 13 Jacksonville 4:05 pm

Oct 20 @Indianapolis 8:30 pm

Oct 27 Washington 4:25 pm

Week 9 BYE

Nov 10 @San Diego 4:25 pm

Nov 17 Kansas City 4:05 pm

Nov 24 @New England 8:30 pm

Dec 1 @Kansas City 1:00 pm

Dec 8 Tennessee 4:05 pm

Dec 12 San Diego 8:25 pm

Dec 22 @Houston 1:00 pm

Dec 29 @Oakland 4:25 pm

All times are Eastern

At Indianapolis, maybe. At KC, maybe, though I don't know if I buy that. At New England certainly. At Houston maybe if Houson's offense shows up. Possibly Philip Rivers does something goofy and makes a fight of it. But really... individual records aren't the only thing they have a shot at, if you follow what I'm saying.

Every NFL game is a danger game.  Look at their road games.  They play @Dallas, @Indy, @NE, @KC, and @Houston. I'd guess all of those teams will have winning records at the time of those games.  And you're saying at KC "maybe" but "certainly" at New England.  You've got that backwards.   It's not a weak schedule like you're hinting at.  They're just a really good team.  You don't have to be an expert to look at that team and the weapons they have to see that.

In the HERP DERP DIVISON GAME universe, maybe. People are getting a bit carried away with the Chiefs praise. Certainly they are better but how much is still pretty open to debate.

If Dallas beats Denver I'll eat my hat, by the way.

The Texans have been shit against actual good teams forever, too, though moreso on the road like that utter pasting they took at New England late last year. But they do beat up everyone else with amazing precision. But they have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL so honestly there's no reason that if Peyton is healthy and remotely interested for that game to be a Broncos loss.

It's a cream puff schedule. And sure they're a great team too. It's not like anyone is suggesting they will waltz to an undefeated season or anything. But it's the kind of schedule where the potential for it to happen at least exists, which isn't even really true most years. If they can get to say 8-0 then we really have something to watch.
