Dolfan in NYC Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The Postseason Tournament is here! We start Saturday with...ugh: Arizona @ Carolina at 4:20pm and Baltimore @ Pittsburgh at 8:15pm The start time of the first game is ironic because I will need copious amounts of marijuana to be able to sit through that game. Sunday is looking better: Cincinnati @ Indianapolis at 1:05pm and Detroit @ Dallas at 4:40pm.
ivpvideos Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I was going to go out to watch UFC Saturday night but being surrounded by hundreds of Ravens fans at the bar sounds like torture. Ugh.
elizium Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Baltimore/Pittsburgh....again. Ugh. Its enough to make this atheist believe in a cruel and unjust god.
Death From Above Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Look at it this way Baltimore/Pittsburgh guarantees that one of them goes away.
elizium Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I'm actually surprised he was suspended. Reputation and all that I guess. As a totally unbiased observer (*cough*) the first stomp looked completely unintentional, the second looked questionable. Lions gonna Lion.
Death From Above Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 At first I thought the Suh thing was innocent. I'll just say though that if you accidentally stood on someone's leg, wouldn't most people react in a way other than, you know, stepping on it again and standing there? Very strange play. I don't think it's definitively clear Suh meant to do it. But it was very strange.
Vincey Greene Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I had to choose between working Saturday or Sunday this week and I chose Saturday. So fuck my life, basically.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Arizona and Carolina is the rematch of the Jake Delhomme game.
Shadow Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Arizona and Carolina is the rematch of the Jake Delhomme game. Before: Fuck yeah! We have a great team, we're gonna beat the Giants in the NFC title game and we're going to the Superbowl! Aftermath
steve Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 That team was so good... and I can't even really hate on Jake, because he's probably the nicest human being alive. It just kinda makes me numb.
ebbie Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Suh-spended I hope he got suspended so people can make puns. Puns are awesome. 1
BobbyWhioux Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Nothing about the Cardinals as they are currently constituted dissuades me from my belief that once again the sub .500 Division Champion will win its home playoff game. Out of the field of playoff teams they would be the one I'd think was most susceptible to it. And here they are.
Burgundy LaRue Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I wish I could be more optimistic about the Colts' chances at a long playoff run, but I'm a realist. Should they get past Cincy, Indy will likely get dusted. The O-line is shaky, the running game is non-existent, and the defense is too spotty. The most I can hope for is that Luck doesn't get hurt and Irsay doesn't embarrass himself on national TV.
johnnyboy Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 The most I can hope for is that Luck doesn't get hurt and Irsay doesn't embarrass himself on national TV. You want the moon on a stick!
Jerry Hattrick Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I'm just hoping for a Detroit/Carolina NFC Championship game. I'll just lounge back in my chair while munching on popcorn and watch the festivities on DVDVR begin.
Brian Fowler Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I'm okay with that scenario. I was in elementary school last time the Lions beat Dallas and went to the NFC championship game.
FluffSnackwell Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Dumb ass Suh was probably just attention whoring with the extra stomp because he's so jealous and frazzled that J.J. Watt has turned out to be the game-changing impact player on defense he was hyped up to be entering the league. Also while Detroit has to exorcise the demons of not winning a playoff game in 23 years, the Cowboys have to shake off the much more recent demons of that embarrassing pair of blown leads they suffered against the Lions.
Tabe Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Suh didn't have one stomp let alone an extra one.
Tabe Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I'm okay with that scenario. I was in elementary school last time the Lions beat Dallas and went to the NFC championship game. That Lions team was legit good enough to win a Super Bowl. They won 12 games, beat AFC champs Buffalo - in Buffalo - and killed Aikman and Emmitt in the playoffs. They had tons of stars on offense and a decent defense. They just had the misfortune of being that good the same year Washington had maybe the greatest team of all-time.And then Fontes tore the whole thing apart the next year. Sigh...
Brian Fowler Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Suh might not be Watt, but he's easily one of the ten best defensive players in the league.
Jerry Hattrick Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I was only mentioning Det/Car due to those two teams seems to have the largest fanbase on here, in the NFC playoffs. FWIW, I'm rooting for Detroit in the playoffs.
Dolfan in NYC Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 Suh's suspension has been changed to a $70,000 fine.
