hammerva Posted April 10 Posted April 10 So I guess most people assumed that when Pat McAfee did his show last night in Pittsburgh that would be when they introduce his buddy Aaron Rodgers and we would FINALLY find out what the status of him and Steelers were. Well we a lot of different people at the show including a probably drunk Michael Cole but no Rodgers. So yeah he is still holding this team hostage.
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I mean, at this point, it would be dumb of him not to wait until the draft is done. He may very well have a crazy demand like "No QB drafted in rounds 1-3" and he's waiting for Pittsburgh's answer.

He may very well have a crazy demand like "No QB drafted in rounds 1-3" and he's waiting for Pittsburgh's answer. I think its Rogers wants way more money than Art Rooney II is willing to give him. I don't see the Steelers drafting a QB in the first few rounds this year, they'll wait until next year when the more QB rich draft is in Pittsburgh.
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Joe Flacco has signed a one year deal with Cleveland. $4m is the base, can go up to $13m with incentives.
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Jalen Ramsey and the Dolphins are 'mutually seeking a trade.' Oh, right.... Also, Tyreek Hill got arrested in a (mutual?) domestic violence rap at his Miami Beach condo. The NFL is requesting the 911 tape, so.... *sigh* It's time for the return of everyone's favorite gimmick: 1 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Derek Carr is apparently dealing with an injury. (Yes, again.) Rappaport is saying that 2025 is very much in jeopardy for Carr as he may be getting surgery. New Orleans is either: a) Stupid. As they re-worked his deal this off-season, which indicates they expected Derek to be ready when the season began b) Stupid. Since the draft is next week, they're basically waving the flag saying "Anyone interested in Sherdur Sanders better trade up" and trying to improve their value at #9 c) Stupid. Because even if this is a bluff, they have Spencer Rattler on the bench and indicating they're drafting Sanders doesn't really make sense as they've got much bigger needs. I'm sure there are plenty of other things they are, but these leap to mind. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 15 Posted April 15 And lastly, because people are asking on Twitter and it finally got back to him.... Chris Grier has said Miami is not pursuing a trade of Tyreek. If they were, the price would be two 1's. (Hopefully Las Vegas is listening and ponies up.) 1

Dolfan in NYC Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Aaron was on Pat McAfee this afternoon and... let's just say, I'm guessing more doors are closing than opening: 1) He said he crashed his rented car through a fence on the side of the Steelers practice facility (There's a picture on the twitter that a rando took while he was jogging by) 2) He hasn't made a decision on playing or retiring, but it's "not about the money" and he'd play for $10 million (Which makes me think he had some outrageous demand for money and is now dropping it since Pitt is the only one whose left that is willing to entertain any of this --- with Minnesota and New Orleans way off in the distance.) 3) I hate to say this about a NY Jets employee, but Aaron Glenn may rule: lol jets (compliment) 1

Contentious C Posted April 20 Posted April 20 At this point, that function is too overwhelmed to do much good.
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 21 Posted April 21 C Cam Jurgens extends with Philadelphia. 4/68 (39 guaranteed). 1
Tabe Posted April 25 Posted April 25 The Lions picked up the option on Jameson Williams, who also just attended a voluntary team workout. Guess the rumors of him being traded were nonsense as everybody thought.
