Gonzaga with an epic thrashing of #8 Baylor to open the season, 101-63. Baylor went on a 16-4 run to cut the lead 59-46 and then got out scored 42-17 the rest of the way. Wow.

I was on a flight Monday and got way more into the UConn-Memphis game than I should have, might have shouted “Fuck Danny Hurley” loud enough to wake up the person sitting next to me.

watching these early tournament games like Maui and Atlantis and these games just don't hit the same without Bill Walton saying batshit crazy things for no reason.  talk about the phrase "don't know what you got til it's gone"

Screw that guy. Complains about a correct call and has the nerve to call the effort of an opposing player, "half-assed". That's just low class, bush league nonsense. 

Nice karma that they lost the next game, too.

And even more karma as UConn loses their third straight. 

And a bit of humble pie for me as Gonzaga loses in OT to West Virginia. Only consolation is that Bob Huggins is no longer their coach.

Hall of Fame coach Lou Carnesecca has passed away at the age of 99.

Forgot to mention it but after UCONN got swept in Maui - Dan Hurley said that UCONN will no longer participate in those multi-day type events

He wants to only do home and homes or play in events that are a single day

Duke beat #2 Auburn (Duke is #9)

The bigger story was unranked Creighton beating Kansas (#1). Creighton lead the entire game and lead by as much as 17

Taylor University kids (NAIA) remain undefeated. This is their annual "Silent Night" game where they remain completely quiet until their team scores the 10th point, then they go buck.
