The worst part is that there are a couple of names on this list that aren't bad, except when they played for The Football Team.  With that said, if you did this with the Chicago Bears QB since the invention of football, you'd have a much worse list.  Mark Rypien, Rich Gannon, Trent Green, Brad Johnson, Mark Brunell, Donovan McNabb, Kirk Cousins, and Alex Smith are all better than any Bears quarterback of my lifetime.

And yes you can officially call all the Titans idiots now since they are already circling the wagons claiming they did nothing wrong because they had to "stay ready to play at a moments notice"

That makes me wonder; now that the Michigan Supreme Court has made the entire state a death cult, the Lions probably could open the stands and speed up the death of everyone if they want to.

Bill O'Brien got into a heated exchange with Houston Texans star J.J. Watt during a recent practice, ESPN has confirmed.

The incident, which also included defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, took place in the week leading up to the winless Texans' Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN and multiple reports.

The Texans fell to 0-4 with their loss this past Sunday to the Minnesota Vikings, and O'Brien was fired as head coach and general manager a day later.

Sources confirmed to ESPN that "a verbal blowup at practice" occurred two weeks ago, with one source telling ESPN's Dianna Russini that the incident was when O'Brien "lost the team."

Watt said after the loss to Minnesota that the Texans "obviously have to do something different."

"We're 0-4, whatever we're doing isn't working," Watt, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, said Sunday. "Something needs to change, something needs to be different."

Just cements the fact that they haven't had a decent QB since Doug Williams, which coincidentally was the last time I was a fan of the team.

Mark Rypien has the Super Bowl season, so that has to be the best season any of these quarterbacks had for the team.  Is RGIII's rookie season #2?  Is there anything else even close?

Again its difficult to compare across eras because Kirk Cousins 2015 (when they won the division) he had more passing yards (Cousins was over 4000), completion percentage and TDs than Rypien's year they won the Super Bowl. And they won the SB pretty much because of their defense and FAR better offensive weapons than any future DC team

BTW - the big reason the NLFPA is hesitant to accept forfeits is because both teams wouldn't receive game checks

A few people have pointed this out but the easiest explanation from Mort

Yeah, there is no way the union is ever going to stand for that.  If one team fucks up and gets COVID, the other team doesn't get paid.  What kind of bullshit is that?

okay - this makes a little more sense (from PFT)

A forfeit would raise plenty of questions. Would CBS be entitled to a partial refund, since it didn’t get to televise one of the games that it has paid to broadcast? More importantly, would the Bills and/or the Titans players be paid?

Some have suggested that the players already have agreed to not be paid for games not played. The language of the August 3 letter agreement, however, mentions only games that are “cancelled or suspended” and that aren’t played later in the year. The NFL Players Association could, and should, argue that the players have not agreed to surrender game checks in the event of a forfeit.

Indeed, the official rulebook contemplates the possibility of a forfeit, providing in Rule 11, Section 1, Article 1 that the final score of a forfeited game will be 2-0. In a normal year, no one ever would suggest that players shouldn’t be paid for a forfeited game. So why would they not be paid for a forfeit in 2020, especially when the agreement allowing the league to withhold pay for games “cancelled or suspended” does not expressly include forfeits, which necessarily are different from a cancellation or suspension, because a forfeited game goes into the standings with a winner and a loser?

The possibility that the Bills and Titans will owe game checks to players becomes a very good a reason to not declare a forfeit. And if it comes to that, the financial punishment imposed on the Titans should include making their own payroll for the week, along with Buffalo’s.

No shit. . . .its not like they could go back to Tyrod, with the rook playing so good. The only wonder is what took them so long.
