Dolfan in NYC
Damn it, I never did RANKINGZ~ . If the playoffs were today! #1 VERSUS #4 AND #2 VERSUS #3 FIRST TWO OUT: #5 #6
Exposer
The Iowa and Baylor ones are great because: 1) I imagine that being the reaction of the Hawk when they saw Iowa at #5. 2) The bear getting smacked back is a great representation of the committee's feelings towards Baylor.
Ryan
That baby elephant looks cute one second and very uncomfortable the next. Weird. How is that Alabama again?

Dolfan in NYC
ESPN is reporting that Mizzu head coach Pinkel will resign at end of season due to health reasons (or cause he didn't tell his players to shut up and sit down...which ever you want to believe). First and only warning about this. Do not make this thread into a politics thread.

EVA
At the rate we're going, half the jobs in college football are going to be open this offseason.

Brian Fowler
Man, if you're a marginal program having a bad season, at this rate you might just as well hold on to your coach another year, because the top prospects are going to go fast and for absurd dollar amounts. Josh Mann
Temple might as well post a want-ad right now. Ruhle is moving up after this year.
EVA
There are seven Power 5 jobs open right now: Miami Maryland USC South Carolina Virginia Tech Illinois Missouri Plus, these four jobs seem very likely to be open soon: Virginia Iowa State Rutgers Colorado On top of that, it seems highly likely that Memphis, Houston, and Temple will open up when their hot HCs get called up to one of the big jobs (to go along with UCF in the AAC). Then things get really interesting if USC steals away another big-time HC, or Rich Rod finally gets the call he's been waiting for to escape purgatory in the desert, or one of the Mississippi coaches gets to step to the next stone. Or if Charlie Strong or Mark Richt say, fuck it, and get out while the getting is good. That would be a tremendously entertaining offseason. Brian Fowler
I don't remember ever arguing this many jobs open up before the regular season is over. Toledo might well be looking for a new coach as well, for the same reason as the AAC three, last week's stumble aside. They're 8-1. Indiana could certainly open up as well. Hard to bring back a hear coach that goes winless in conference play, which is still very much on the table.

EVA
For a guy that runs a hurry- up offense, Gus is consistently awful in the 2-minute drill.
EVA
Interesting tale of 2 weeks for Alabama. Last week, they faced a great RB without much of a pass game to speak of. This week, it's a great QB without much of a run game to speak of. BAMA always plays like crap the week after LSU, too.
Tabe
Jake Rudock dropping a Dilfer Dime to Jehu Chesson early against Indiana. Beautiful throw. Wish we'd gotten that against Utah...
Niners Fan in CT
Not a problem. If Bama loses this week it's against a ranked opponent. If they drop it would only be to #3 or #4.
