Jeff says now that he got his revenge on Storm, he wants to win the TNA Tag Team Titles for the first time. Matt says it feels good to stand in the ring with Jeff for the first time in two months and promises to win the tag titles. Matt tells Eddie Edwards to get well soon and promises to give the Wolves a title shot. Ethan Carter III & Tyrus interrupt. EC3 says he's the best and brings up his 19 month undefeated streak. EC3 says since he isn't getting a world title shot, he wants a tag team title shot. EC3 says he needs a tag team partner and introduces Bram. Bram says he's in a bad mood but hates EC3 the least and just wants to beat up the rest of the locker room. EC3 says they are the odds on favorites to win the whole thing. Mr. Anderson interrupts and questions him, saying EC3 is only the odds on favorite for having the smallest weiner. Anderson introduces his partner as Rockstar Spud and says they are going to be great. Austin Aries comes out and says he heard the word great but there's no one greater than the greatest man that ever lived. Aries says he wants some more gold of his own and introduces Bobby Roode as his partner. This is to air prior to the tag team tournament matches taped last night.

The BDC (MVP, Kenny King, & Low Ki) and The Rising (Drew Galloway, Mikah, & Eli Drake) both come to the ring. MVP announces Mikah vs Kenny King in a one on one match with no BS...

*The Hardyz def. James Storm & Khoya in a tag team tournament match when Jeff pinned Khoya with the Twist of Fate + Swanton after Storm accidentally superkicked Khoya. After the match, Jeremy Borash interview the Hardyz. Jeff says it's been over eight years since they've been tag champions and now is their time.

Young says people have called him crazy and brings up not attacking Kurt last week. Young tells Kurt he will wrestle the best one, the real Eric Young and may the best man win. Austin Aries interrupts and says he has something everyone will want to hear. Aries says he's an observant man and looks at situations and people to see what's really going on. Aries says the real Eric Young is the one who turned on his best friend Bobby Roode. He calls him a ticking time bomb and a leopard can't change his spots. Aries says he could've bashed Kurt's head in and cashed in last week but he respects Kurt and calls him the measuring stick. Aries wants Angle tonight and tells Young that he'll have to take his crazy and wait as he's cashing in. Aries tells Kurt to get prepared for the greatest wrestler today. Maybe it will play out better than it sounds, but I don't really buy Eric Young as a vicious shitkicking heel.   I didn't think the top heel role suited him when they did it with World Elite.  I guess they're trying to get the piledriver over as a death move, but giving him a stretcher gimmick just seems like a reach.

Revolution-Hardys was fun. EY being called ONE OF THE GREATEST WRESTLERS OF ALL TIME was insane. Spud/Anderson vs. BDC was fun thanks to Spud. Love them using the old Rock and Roll Express partner toss. EC3 and Bram vs. the Lucha Reptiles was a fine showcase for Jay Rios, who may in fact be Juan Cena after the springboard cutter. BroMans vs. Dirty Heels was fine, but I don't get why you'd even want to break up the BroMans. Main event wasn't much of a match, but I do like the story of the Hardys winning the TNA titles for the first time. It's also a great story of redemption for Matt.

Really good show overall. I dug the idea of EY starting it as a heel who has seen the error of his ways, but is then screwed over through no fault of his own and then snaps again. The knockouts four way was an excellent showcase for Brooke. Beyond fanservice, it delivered some fresh moves and the revival of THE POUUNNNCE. Mika-Kenny was a backdrop for the faction war, which leads to A PIPE ON A POLE MATCH. Yippee. The Dollhouse's debut was creepy, and resulted in them coming off as stars alongside Laura Dennis, who they might as well just call Cherry Bomb since it's on her gear and all the fans chanted.

The Mickie-Storm-Magnus thing was just fantastic. Storm playing off of his babyface character to lure Mickie away because he feels she's a better fit for him than Magnus is being done perfectly. Storm had me cracking up singing and dancing to Mickie's song after asking that it be played. Manik and Davey had an excellent short match that finally gave Manik a chance to shine for the first time since he's been in this faction. They set up more with The Revolution and the Hardys, debuted a new finisher for them, and even set Davey up as a possible X Title contender - so it was an efficient use of time. Every single thing involving EC3's campaign while Tyrus dressed as Abe Lincoln was great until Ken Anderson came out. Kong vs. Taryn was a fun match that had a logical set up for the no DQ stip with Taryn wanting this after Kong used weapons against her, and then the real motive became clear when the Dollhouse attacked Kong and helped her win. Taryn is already a fantastic heel after one promo and this act has potential. I'm not quite sure if it can be the next BPs, but that seems to be the idea and I dig it so far. They all have chemistry together, and that is what helped the BPs out a lot.

I don't normally like bait and switch angles for World title matches, especially when it's clear we aren't getting a title match when it's set to begin 10 minutes before the show ends, but this was done perfectly. EY needed something to get him to the next level as a semi-top heel act and this was it. He absolutely destroyed both Aries and Kurt, and left the champion bloodied with an even more busted-up knee. This was an excellent show overall and well worth going out of your way to see.

Everything Knockouts related was gold. Really dug the four way and the debut of the Dollhouse. Jade and Marti are so weird but so right. And loved the title match as well as Taryn's turn. Really good stuff this week that did not disappoint.

Not sure about Taryn's heel turn yet but we'll see. I loved Taryn as the daredevil babyface of the knockouts and thought she was perfect in that role while being the champ. Glad her reign is continuing at least. Always been a fan of Marti Belle so good to see her get an opportunity.
