DEAN Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 I was thinking about how much cooler Dynamite Kansai's name for her finisher, DIE HARD KANSAI, cooler than the usual name for it, Splash Mountain and it made me think of this topic. My top five: Best- DIE HARD KANSAI. Lamest- Splash Mountain Best- Suwa's FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING. Lamest- Spinning Pedigree Best- Lioness Asuka's K-DRILLER. Lamest- Greetings From Asbury Park Best- EVEREST German Suplex. Lamest- Deadlift German Suplex Best- Tomoko Watanabe's Screwdriver. Lamest- I don't think anybody else does this move. It's that awesome. 1
BobbyWhioux Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 BEST - Tombstone Piledriver WORST - That's Incredible 4
The Natural Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) Bret Hart's Sharpshooter was the first that came to mind. Fitting name. Nobody does the move as well as Bret does. Edited March 19, 2021 by The Natural 3

ka-to Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Strong Zero is the best name. I thought that Die Hard was Splash Mountain from the corner and Kansai used both? Razor's Edge is the lame name. 1

Curt McGirt Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Sometimes the simplest names are the best. Case in point: Brainbuster. Would also be a killer name for a hardcore band. 4
AxB Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Not sure which is best, out of Cop Killa, Vertebreaker or Reverse Gory Special Bomb. 2
Curt McGirt Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Let's keep it real for the board... Missile Dropkick I've always been partial to Stuff Powerbomb too. 1
Curt McGirt Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) Released Dragon Suplex Falcon Arrow EDIT: Goddamn now I got two more with animal names -- Crossface Chickenwing and Cobra Clutch Edited March 19, 2021 by Curt McGirt 2

Spontaneous Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 I always liked Tamon Honda's "Dead End" German Suplex. Doug Williams diving knee drop be being called The Bomb Threat was dope. Akiyama and the Sterness Dust Alpha and Gamma. 1

odessasteps Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Gourdbuster Dreambuster > The Stroke > whatever the miz calls it 1
Zimbra Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 K-Driller is good, but I'm still partial to the good old Fire Thunder Driver Last Rites > Roll The Dice > Cross Rhodes Bull's Poseidon is cooler than Beach Break but they're both cool 1
AxB Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) Remember that time in the old, non-formatted board where someone asked what move the Spider German was, and someone else misread "move" as "Movie" and started wondering if it starred Ralph Feinnes or something? Edited March 19, 2021 by AxB 1 1
DEAN Posted March 19, 2021 Author Posted March 19, 2021 Of course, Etsuka Mita's DEATH VALLEY BOMB and DEATH LAKE DRIVER. Also Japanese use of made up English words: EXPLOIDER SUPLEX and EMERALD FROZIEN. 2
DEAN Posted March 19, 2021 Author Posted March 19, 2021 Note that NIAGRA DRIVER is also a cooler name than Splash Mountain. 1
