odessasteps Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 The Doctor Who proms is starting Right Now (1430 EDT 1930'BST) on BBC 3 radio. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3
Ace Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 A few more shots from the Proms: Peter Davison (5th Doctor) & Carole Ann Ford (Susan Foreman, original companion) Vastra & Strax!
odessasteps Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 I was wondering how Vastra would be costumed, since i was listening on the radio. no Jenny? It was cool to hear 90+ year old Dudley Simpson was therein person.
Brock Samson Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Rev's sig makes me want to see Vastra star in Sharknado VI.
Raziel Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I find that after that last season... I *REALLY* want a Vastra, Jenny, and Strax spinoff detective show. Tell me that wouldn't be a licence to print money.
odessasteps Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 The best thing about that Vastra/Strax picture is the orchestra members next to them smiling and trying not to laugh.

odessasteps Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Some kind of announcement coming at midnight bst / 7:00 EDT.
cool arrow Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Some kind of announcement coming at midnight bst / 7:00 EDT. Folks are saying it's the official announcement of #12 (or 13, depending who Hurt turns out to be). We shall see.
Raziel Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I'm wagering its who's playing the Twelve(Thirteen?) when Smith's regeneration scene takes place at the end of the Anniversary Special. Or that they somehow got McGann and Eccelston in to do proper regeneration scenes. Or Moffat stopped being a dick and finally asked Barrowman back.
cool arrow Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Well, there you go. http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/12th-doctor-revealed-on-sunday-52184.htm
Raziel Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The article speculates Peter Capaldi is the new Doctor, but I don't think someone that was in the entire Children of Earth season of Torchwood and a couple guests spots on DW itself would get it.

Never thought about Peter Capaldi for the Doctor. Having heard it, I would like him to get it.

I'd love it, just to see all the people on FB complain about how he's not sexy and how the Doctor is supposed to get younger with each regeneration.

In a just world, Capaldi would have the Sonic Screwdriver and Malcolm Tucker's use of language in bad situations. 1
J.H. Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I will be so happy if its Capaldi. I'm hooked in The Thick of It and loved In The Loop! James
Ace Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 They apparently just made the official announcement. BBCA will carry the special live as well. I assume they'll also premiere the 50th Anniversary trailer as well.
odessasteps Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 @classicdw: Twelfth Doctor will be revealed in a special live television event this Sunday on @BBCOne and @BBCAmerica http://t.co/wcILwKGFVJ #doctorwho
The Natural Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 This is a live show tonight, right? Going to be fun to see the reaction when the new Doctor is announced.
Lazlo Woodbine Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 For what it's worth, bookies have stopped taking bets on Peter Capaldi for the role.
Doubting El Dandy Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 If they went with Capaldi I'd consider that a ballsy move. At this point I am prone to pretty much love whoever they cast in the role. But it does seem like a total departure of young, squee inducing, merch moving Doctor Who.As far as strange conwinkydinks go?Capaldi was in World War Z and was credited as "W.H.O. Doctor". 1
