Curt McGirt Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 http://dailygrindhouse.com/thewire/wrestlemaniacs-top-10-horror-influenced-pro-wrestlers/ Cool, they mention Onryo!
Phantom Lord Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 If Vince hadn't been all "fuck the fans, they'll take what I give them" earlier this year and shot Roman up to the main event of WM and his world title chase was starting now things would have been so much better for him. 2016 is gonna be fun if Roman turns heel and becomes the new chosen one by the authority. Ambrose as the anti-corporate face and Rollins as the new game (because he played it just as good as Triple H...just didn't have a Stephanie to marry). Of course they could keep Roman as a babyface. I suspect they would do that because if Cena never turned bad, I doubt they would have Roman do so as well.
Technico Support Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 http://www.wwe.com/inside/jerry-lawler-car-accident Guy is like Michael Myers. No matter how much people want him to go away he keeps coming back. And like Michael Myers, he's always chasing teen girls. 3
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Chad Gable has taken over for the Divas Revolution as the thing or person the internet/NXT fans want to succeed the most, but the main roster writers and Vince won;t get and will fuck up beyond believe. "He's 5'7". He couldn't beat me in a fight!!!"- Vince
Technico Support Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 As good as he is, the whole "Chad Gable is definitely going to be WON rookie of the year" thing is a bit much. It reminds me of dumbass Observer voters putting Kurt Angle in WAY too early -- a bunch of out of touch old guys feeling insecure about fake fighting so they want to induct legit guys asap. I like Gable but come on. He's still in developmental and has only been really on the radar for a few months.
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Watching him annoy everyone for the next 10 years is going to be amazing. 2

Tromatagon Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Taurus because he is a minotaur that just debuted and clearly not a guy in a mask who wrestled under other gimmicks because none of those were Minotaurs 2
Brian Fowler Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 The promo where Jordan finally said "ready willing and Gable" followed by "You said it!" "I'll deny it" Is one of my favorite moments of the year. 4
The Z Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Taurus because he is a minotaur that just debuted and clearly not a guy in a mask who wrestled under other gimmicks because none of those were Minotaurs Any relation to El Torito?
cool arrow Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I don't think I can embed this, so I'll just link the page. Bruce Campbell relates a story about Randy Savage from the Spider-Man set.. http://uproxx.com/prowrestling/2015/10/bruce-campbell-macho-man-randy-savage-sex-story/ 1

No, he's just a bull pretending to be a person. He has a tail. It's like the difference between a monkey and an ape.
joseph2112 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 2016....chosen one by the authority. Vince: OK godammit, it's 2016, what do we have on the horizon? Head writer: We were thinking a hot new angle. It involves the evil boss trying to hold the boys down. Vince: I like the cut of your jib, kid. Not to say I disagree with the take, but could we please, please get something different? 2
JRGoldman Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Asuka is the brightest light in womens' wrestling in the US, ever! She's technically as sound as Akira Hokuto and a million times better connecting with the fans. I know we are on the internet so hyperbole is the accepted language here, but Asuka has had a couple decent squashes and is pretty over with the smarkiest crowd in wrestling. Akira Hokuto was the best wrestler in the world in 1993, male or female, and was basically as over as Daniel Bryan was during his title quest. Asuka isn't even the best women's wrestler on the roster.
Charlie M. Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 The NXT crowd being the way they are helped her greatly. It's not like trying to get over in front of the main WWE crowds that are filled with little kids who don't know anything, curmudgeons and casual viewers who are slow to accept people they don't instantly recognize. I agree that she's easily the most talented female on either roster. As she should be given her experience level.
Tromatagon Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I think the real point is people sleeping on how awesome Akira Hokuto was 7
CrazyMax46 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Yet the NXT crowd is the one people complain about. I will agree some of their chants are stupid.
John from Cincinnati Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I dumbly caught the end of the October thread, so I'll try this again: Roll-up pins. Why do some internet-folks dislike them so strongly?
Tromatagon Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Because they started watching wrestling in 2005 5
Technico Support Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Like anything in wrestling, they're fine until they're overused. And they're way overused in WWE right now. Also, they serve 50/50 booking a little too well. It's a meaningless way to end a match.
Brysynner Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 As far as Akira Hokuto...there's a few WCW matches on the WWE Network...watch those, then watch Asuka. You will see a difference.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 What is the difference besides them not being the same person? 1
Cristobal Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Weren't most of Hokuto's WCW matches against other joshi wrestlers, though?
