I am actually curios what would happen if 7 people called mercs on one guy, and how long he (I) could survive. So I welcome the challenge.

The funny thing about them was that they killed no one. Robert survived. But the distraction itself turned the tide.

EDIT: my best chopper moment was one on Robert: I dive out of it, let the chopper free fall, and open my chute just before ground. Robert didnt see me jump out, or that I landed behind him. One Pistol shot to the back of the skull.

I'm not bitter at that chopper trick.  Nope, not at all

You just wish you thought of it first.

Mainly I just want my DM opponents to wander in front of my sights, and then stand there, oblivious.  It's annoying when they do clever shit like that.

Yeah - I had a similar issue to Mark where it wouldn't let me join any parties.

I gave up fairly quickly since I really need to be doing work anyway.

There was a guy with a $9000 Bounty who somehow glitched himself into passive mode. He was gun shopping, but he stayed in the shopping menu after I killed the cashier. He was standing on a pillar for ages. I decapitated him with a Helicopter eventually.

Some people, if they're now at thier controller, they trigger a mission and sit in the lobby without inviting anyone. Sometimes if you Quick Join a Mission you find yourself in that lobby, and don't realise until the mission starts that you're soloing it... and the other guy will get the payout and RP if you complete it. In this situation, you do what I do. Complete the mission as fast as possible, and then vote for a Deathmatch.

Last night, the guy picked his controller up right when the Deathmatch was starting. He still lost though.

JT and I played golf, since that didnt need communication, and then i left.

Stupid unplayable lie on hated hole 7.

Yean, not our best round of golf.  I pooched the Birdie putt on Hole 1 and everything went to shit after that.

Fucking Eagle putt broke the wrong way halfway from the hole on 4 and I overhit my punch on 8.

Nothing went right.  I am surprised that I still managed to finish the match under par.

We need to ratchet up our teamwork a little when we're in free mode, guys.  I've noticed that we have a tendency to stray too far from each other without calling out position and sometimes end up getting cut off and shot full of holes.

I do not excuse myself from this as I also wander off and sometimes go AFK during one of my girlfriend's infamous phone calls and I neglect to tell anyone.  Then I return to gameplay only to discover to my horror that Robert or Jstout got perished because I did not provide suppressing fire.

We've had a couple of off nights lately because I think we've strayed from the basics.  Once we realign, we'll be back to terrorizing the public in no time.

Discussion of the new money duping bug in 360 Live Chat will probably land us all on some FBI wiretapping list.

WHAT DO YOU DO AFTER YOU KILL THE HOOKER~?!

We finished up Extradition in less than ten minutes last night.  There is no substitute for air superiority.  It was the polar opposite to our first comical attempt to beat the mission.

Sounds like I missed out on mostly frustration after my power went out on me mid-session last night.

And really I've never felt dirtier, and hoped no one was walking by my apartment listening more, as I'm discussing hooker killing tips with Mis complaining about how "you have to scare the hooker first before you get out of the car to shoot her or she'll run away."

I can't really confirm that there was any cheating going on, but some players sure did seem to be a lot more durable and faster than usual.

I have killed players with one Heavy Sniper headshot even when they are wearing motorcycle helmets. Two headshots did not bring down some players with no head protection.

Additionally last night, I had issues killing a Rank 100 Mary Lou at point blank range with an Auto Shotty but had no problems kiling a Rank 200 guy from a fair distance away with the same weapon.

Sometimes you gotta call bullshit.

My headset is the original, release model that only has one earpiece.  At one point I was listening to Stout and Mis explain that stuff to RUkered in one ear, while listening to my wife recite the Novena (Rosary) prayer in the other.  The dichotomy was a bit unsettling.

There was definitely something up in that first room we were in.  It was behaving exactly like the room we were in a couple weeks ago where we thought somebody was cheating, and where others were accusing us of doing it.  I tried to steal a Baller, but the NPC couldn't be yanked out.  I tried again on the same car, and the driver switched from a woman to a man. Tried again I was able to get into the driver's seat even though the NPC was still sitting in it.  Drove for a few feet before the car disappeared on me.  That's the sort of stuff we were seeing in that other room a couple weeks back.

I really don't know if better tactics would've helped last night. We were absolutely Team Nail last night. It really was just one of those nights up and down the line.

It was the first Freemode session that I can recall where I spent the entire night having my ass handed to me. Usually one person I run into wil dominate me, and I can handle the rest OK. But last night, it was like one person would kick my ass, tag out to someone else, who would kick my ass, then tag out, etc. That guy on the roof of the Mall sniper rifling and RPGing me every five seconds was much more than I can handle, and wading into seven mostly red dots was predictably futile.

The one time I shot the guy off the roof of the Mall, I felt like someone winning the Special Olympics. Never have I felt like I accomplished so much by killing one dude one time. It was just a bad nght. At one point, I'm like "screw this, let's kill hookers."

It was one of those nights where if one of those guys sent me a taunting "you suck" message, I would've responded "yes, sir, you have a point." The roof guy and his two buddies were in the same crew, too, which is disappointing. His two buddies, including the guy in the Turismo, weren't such a big deal, but that guy on the roof was instant death. Fucker even knifed me in Freemode. I had to check to see if Dan had an alternate character.

I finally found some dumb sap to revenge kill several times, but he left after about three kills total between me and Robert. He showed such promise, too. He was playing SO badly. He went into AmmuNation while I was chasing him around and left his Dubsta 6X6 parked outside. Boom. He was paying for the sins of the others, but dammit, he left.

It's astonishing how much different my 720p TV is compared to my 1080p TV. I can't read anything on my 720p TV. Everything is so small and kinda blurred. I had the same issues with playing DOTA 2. I also should note that the 720p set is a 32" screen while the 1080p set is a 40" screen. If I came across a 1080p 32" screen TV, do you think that would help?

In addition, I really, really, really suck at deathmatches. I can unload a clip into someone and they won't die, but I'm being executed after taking a couple shots. I'm also having trouble with aiming at enemies. It feels like it takes forever to get my targeting dot/reticle on an enemy. Anyone have any tips for playing deathmatch or just killing idiots in free mode so I'm not such a tackling dummy?

It was frustrating all around.

There were a couple of times where I got lit up simply for not paying attention to when Robert went passive EVEN WHEN HE SAID MULTIPLE TIMES "I AM GOING TO FEED MY DOGS" OVER GAME CHAT~!  That's my own damn fault.

Then ther were other times when I would set up shop only to find you guys were like nine neighborhoods away. Warn a brotha when you are going to move! :)

The crew that held the mall position were equal parts coordinated and cheating. That Specialist asshole was definitely using a lag switch because he had ridiculous speed and agility, but he knew how to cover his boys.  They were no further than one city block away from each other at all times.

I never saw him move (if he's jumping around instead of moving fluidly, that's a sure sign of a lag switch). The only coordinated thing we could've done was all get together and march up the two ways up to the Mall building roof and try to take him down. He probably couldn't have killed all of us. He might have killed the first guy up the ladder, for example, but probably not the second. Then again ...

I can occasionally kill people on that roof, but I'm not as good up there as I should be.

I get fascinated with killing one person - once it was a guy in a Buzzard - and when they try to get away, I wind up following them. That's how we wound up at the airport once. I did that a couple of times last night because I was getting my ass kicked where I was and needed a change in scenery.

Or there was a couple of times when me and Mis were beating up on one dude and MIs was totally handling him, so I was unnecessary. Meanwhile, Robert's in a scrum with about 7 red dots, so I decided to go help him by offering them another target to shoot repeatedly.

AxB, Cristobal, Dan aka El Dragon, and Robert are probably our best pure deathmatch players.

I am no slouch, but I would heed whatever wisdom they pass on.

One thing I have learned is that the combat roll is your best friend in a room full of guys that depend on auto-aim.  Learn how to Mary Lou.

I was "then again" last night. :)  My only real moment of success all night.

I covered down on the fire escape of the mall after bailing out of my Buzzard and killed two players within seconds of each other as they came up the stairs to secure the roof.

The only reason The Specialist got by me was because he went into Passive Mode.  I could tell because he was unarmed and he survived the sticky bomb trap that killed the guy behind him.

Rockstar really does need to fix the glitch where people in passive mode still have solid dots instead of the crossed our circle icon.

I really think the best Deathmatch players keep moving and don't get settled in one spot like I always do. They're not afraid to get killed a bunch of times if it means you're killing a bunch of times. Dan will often have 14 kills and 11 deaths, for example.

And every good Deathmatch player knows how to Mary Lou, dammit. That's where the keeping moving comes in handy. Gives you more freedom to Mary Lou.

It is no small source of aggravation that I will be in second place in a Deathmatch with one fewer kill than Dan but like seven fewer deaths..

If only K/D were a weighted stat.
