At least with Torres on second there was a chance of getting out of the inning (and no I haven’t seen it yet. I just saw a tweet on ESPN’s site) It wasn’t going to be a home run, the fan reached over the wall.
lostinube Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 So yeah, holy cow. I was tracking the viewers on the ABEMA (Japan only) livestream of the game. Started at 640,000 for Ohtani's first at bat and by the end of the game it was at over 5 million. 2
Travis Sheldon Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Not going to lie, I was getting '88 Gibson vibes watching that. I'm sure a lot of people will be saying that on social media, but I distinctly remember the moment that happened in 1988 and how I felt.
zendragon Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 I was at the forum for a concert tonight and when Freddie did his thing the crowd started cheering in the middle of a song for the opening band

It was basically San Diego vs. One Guy. He's everywhere there. 1
Travis Sheldon Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Loud noises from each Coast just heard from the International Space Station.
Nice Guy Eddie Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I'm glad I went to concert tonight so I didn't have to be tortured watching the game.

They might flash the scores of the other games but really, no one cares. I'm used to that though because it's similar to what Hawaii newscasts used to do when local athletes went pro.
Johnny Sorrow Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Yamamoto is the real fucking deal. What a performance. 1
RIPPA Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 A weird quirk that is still in play that I am in no way is saying is going to happen The last two times the Yanks and Dodgers played in the World Series - the home team won the first 2 games. The other team then won 4 straight 1
Tabe Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Ohtani separated his shoulder in game 2 on his unsuccessful steal attempt. He is expected to play in game 3.
RIPPA Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Just a thought but maybe stop pitching to Freddie Freeman 3
odessasteps Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 He is enormous in mlb the show. Probably biggest person in the game, although randy Johnson is prob taller.
Pete Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 At this rate the Yankees may have to bring in Ronan Tynan to cool the Dodgers off.
Travis Sheldon Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman are nightmare fuel. 2
