OC is in deep shit! Good ending there! Archer vs Luchasaurus would be interesting with dueling promos by Jake and Christian! Taya vs Storm is a close second to Statlander vs Storm to my favorite women's match that isn't Leyla Hirsch vs Lady Frost! No doubt it's going to help launch Perry into the stratosphere, but to me, I guess the real question is whether or not it works as a vehicle for sympathetic babyface-out-for-revenge Luchasaurus. Like, I enjoy Luchasaurus, don't get me wrong - but if you wanna compare him to Undertaker, as another monster example, he's still on the pre-'94 side in terms of selling and non-verbal emoting, IMO. Fantastic all around. Cash has always been great but man he has leveled up. Just a perfect performance throughout. I guess the only thing I would add is that the match had a number of complicated spots that required all four guys to really hit the timing just right and they all nailed it. All it takes is for one guy to be a little late and you've got the three others standing there looking awkward. That never happened. Funny, I always thought Jay White was super-overrated and cringey in NJPW, but take him out of the wanky, interference-ridden, Meltzer bait environment and put him in a more grounded setting and he is fundamentally a great worker.
