If you and I are are the bottom two - I am definitely shipping something terrible to your place

What can be more frightening than my daughter's tuition bill from JMU?  Opening a 529 plan when she was six years old was a wise move.

Not about myself specifically, but just a more general… what’s causing all of this? (woo)

If I had to point to one thing, it would be the great reviews for the Turtles movie that almost no one expected. A lot of us were very happy to slap that movie right at the bottom of our RT list. Four people (including me!) now have double-digit points just from the RT placement of that movie alone.

Meanwhile Natural, John from Cincy, Kuetsar, and Rippa - who are the ones making big jumps in the standings - all left TMNT off their RT list.

I also want to highlight that by saying that no one else currently has double-digit points resulting from the placement of any other single movie on a list.  It's just TMNT on the RT list that's doing it.

So you could say the excellent reviews for TMNT were an even bigger surprise for us than Barbie's box office performance was.

Thank you. I left Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem off my Rotten Tomatoes list on the small chance it was a hit with critics. Didn't want to risk it.

I think the five biggest surprises of this Summer Blockbuster Pool:

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem's Rotten Tomatoes rating.

2. Barbie's box office.

3. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is second on S.K.o.S DVDVR MB Updates to Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1. Most thought it would be top.

4. Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 box office total.

5. The Flash bombing as bad as it has at the box office.

Imagine if someone came in here back in April and said, "Barbie's going to make more money than any other movie in this thing. And you know what else? It's going to make $200 million more than the #2 movie."
