If it's on phone what I ended up doing in those situations is to hold down the page number and have it open in a new tab.  Definitely not ideal but works in a pinch.

Not sure if anything actually changed but my non https bookmark for the forum isn't taking me to the https URL so I think that's a change. Now if I just put the URL in on the Chrome bar, it can take me to the https URL.

I just spent 10 min or so trying to embed a link.  Tried multiple browsers.  None of them worked.  I think I’ve finally hit my tipping point for now, lol.  Effort is definitely outweighing gains.  

Maybe I’m come back in a few months or and see if some of this has been fixed.  If not, well, it’s been fun.  Ish.

Didn’t the problems start when the board changed hosting services (again)?  I think that’s probably the culprit.

I admire the determination of people who still try to embed links.

95% of the time, you can fix links by posting your post (either it works or it doesn't, 50/50 chance), editing your post, just reposting the URL. It's a pretty easy workaround.

If I desperately need to post a link on my phone, I usually go back later on my iPad and fix it.

The trick is to wipe the board and switch to some horrible other software. Disqus sucks! Can that be jury rigged into a forum somehow.
