It's been a slow burn so far setting everything up. Would you say it is watchable? I've got it queued up, but not sure if I want to dive in. Outside of the really unlikely chance they're killing the title role off, you can pay lip service to the suffering of cancer patients and doing it the long way all you like, but ultimately I can see this getting some sort of miracle cure which seems cheap contextually. Doesn't really feel off to me. Not sure why they can't just have her improve with treatment over time like some do in real life. No reason to make a miracle cure and/or rush through it all. J.T.
When that popped up in my Google feed, I swore it was fan made. So much for me cancelling HBO Max anytime soon with that, The Sympathizer, and True Detective on the horizon.

The originals were loosely based on Universal classic monster archetypes that DC may or may not have license to use. There was a vampire, a werewolf, a Frankenstein's monster, and a gorgon / medusa on the original team. I was always surprised that they never added a gill-man and a mummy just to round out the lot. odessasteps
And, to "modernize it", they also had to try and even up the genders on the team. Since JMDM does work for WB Animation, wonder if he will write any of the episodes.
odessasteps
I just learned Grant Morrison had a cameo on an episode of Titans, presumably an homage to that page in Animal Man.
RandomAct
Thought The Flash was very satisfying this week. One of my biggest gripes with Oliver's death is that Diggle didn't get to be there, so I'm glad they gave is closure on that.

NikoBaltimore
I'm pretty sad the show's coming to an end yet at the same time feel it could have easily ended a couple seasons ago. I like that they're finishing strong though.

I've overall been happy with the final season, and it's good to see how much the role means to Gustin. I feel like most of the legacy cast has been really checked out, but he's been the same throughout.
NikoBaltimore
I honestly wish Gustin was in the movie version. He's been the one constant about the show that's kept me watching even when things weren't so hot. If the movie actually is really good it'd be a great launching pad coming off the show.
RandomAct
Thought the Flash finale would pack a bit more punch, but it was overall fine. Everyone got a happy ending, and I guess that's what matters.
Eivion
Finally saw the finale last night. I thought it was fine as well. Not surprised it lacked punch. Felt kind of clear that even if they didn't rush into it they didn't really have a solid plan. Appearances like Oliver and Wally probably have been saved for the actual finale.
RandomAct
Dying at how Superman & Lois made that bullshit version of Doomsday that we got in BvS look even worse. I'm glad the show got another season, because that would have been an outrageous cliffhanger.

dogwelder
At least they got one of the big names in isekai (Tappei Nagatsuki who created the popular LN series Re: ZERO - Starting Life in Another World) to be one of the co-writers.

As a lifelong Batman fan, I'm so grateful how many great Batman animated movies he's had. I'd rank them as: 5. Batman: Year One (2011). 4. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (2012-2013). 3. Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010). 2. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000) *Uncut Version.* 1. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993). Honourable mention: Batman: The Long Halloween (2021). Still need to see Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2019).
