Big Fresh
I've never bought a game because of grenade throwing animations. Halo did not feature the crazy online co-op with dynamic events and slight MMO properties. Halo did not feature RPG character progression or ever character classes. Halo did not feature loot hunting. Brisco
I think Destiny may be more similarities to Borderlands than Halo.

Niners Fan in CT
Keep in mind I said it looks the same, meaning animations, etc.. I just wish they weren't so similar. Of course, this is with me only seeing the gameplay they've showed, I'm open to changing my mind on it.
Craig H
They aren't similar...like...at all. There is a similar grenade throwing mechanic. There's a similar sheen to the graphics. All of this is like saying Titanfall looks exactly like CoD, which is as ridiculous of a statement. In structure, storyline, and other gameplay mechanics, it's a completely different game.
The Natural
Xbox One UK update: It seems the Xbox One launch hasn’t gone quiet as smoothly as it first appears, although Microsoft are offering free games to compensate. It’s been impossible to play Xbox One games online for over 17 hours now, with the Xbox Live status page still indicating that online multiplayer and purchasing items from the shop is unavailable. Other aspects of the online service, such as the actual shop front end, are working, so it’s unclear exactly what the problem is or when it will be fixed. At the same time more UK Xbox One owners have been complaining about poor picture quality when running their TV signal through the console. The problem seems to a design flaw with the hardware itself, with Microsoft apparently failing to compensate for the fact that most of Europe and Australia uses a 50Hz refresh rate for it’s TV broadcasts instead of the 60Hz of the US. To display raw TV footage in the UK the Xbox One ends up either dropping or repeating a frame, causing a juddering image. The effect is particularly noticeably when text or other items scroll across the screen, or during a long panning shot. The issue is a serious one and Microsoft’s failure to compensate for it from the start is a serious oversight. Some users have managed to lessen the problem but tricking the Xbox One into thinking their TV does not support 60Hz, but this impacts how games look and switching between the two is a pain. We can’t test the issue ourselves though as, like more than half the country, we don’t have a HDMI-equipped set-top box in the same room as the Xbox One. Previous to this the only major know launch issue was with faulty disk drives, which Microsoft has acknowledged and is now offering free games as compensation – from a selection including Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Zoo Tycoon. Jiji
How come one of the PS4's isn't sitting there in a comatose state with a flashing blue light? Battlefield 4 multiplayer on PS4 is the most fun I've had with a video game in ages and I thought I was over the FPS multiplayer games.

The Z
Wow, I'm so glad I didn't cancel my PS4 preorder right now. The PS4 was just released in Europe today and I received mine already. People are willing to pay up to €800 on eBay (twice the retail price of €400).

I'm genuinely interested to know, because I have $400 in Amazon gift vouchers and I'm just waiting for a reason to jump on it. Otherwise I'll wait til i need it (Watchdogs). You won't even need it then by that logic. Watchdogs will be on ps3 also. Killzone multiplayer is really good. The campaign is average. Call of duty, assassins creed, battlefield 4, have all gotten good reviews. The only game I've been mildly disappointed in has been Madden. It is a game that doesn't seem like you are playing on a next gen console. NBA2k14 is awesome though and if someone walked in the room while you were playing at first glance would think it was a live game on TV. There isn't that must have exclusive title at this point and it will be a while until there is one.
Jiji
Pretty much agree with the above, except I regret purchasing Killzone. The multiplayer is way too frantic and constantly in close quarters for my liking. BF is poifect, though. FIFA is slightly better in comparison to Madden, but still not the step up I was hoping for. Fun game though and I could see myself losing a lot of hours to a Liverpool manager mode playthrough. Oh yeaaaaah, I forgot to mention Resogun is also faBOlous.
