This is f'n sad and most of these folks are the ones getting main events as well, with the exceptions being some of the remaining highlights here - the ladies, RReigns, a couple of the NXTers, New Day. What a revoltin' development.

Meltzer weakly defended the WWE's ageism after the Royal Rumble (where most of the talent was in the mid-late 30's?) by saying that, the older Vince gets, the more comfortable he gets with older wrestlers.  Put simply, Dave thinks that, when Vince was younger, he thought 40 was old and wanted younger guys for tv.  Now that Vince is a lot older himself. 40 seems young to him and he is more comfortable pushing older guys and putting them on tv to the point that he thinks 20-something is too young.

Or so Dave thinks anyway.

My only minor nitpick, Bryan didn't start with WWE until 2010 at which point Hardy was gone, and that pic of Bryan is from 2011. Regardless, I love it

We can all agree the WCW cruiserweight division from 96-early 99 was probably the best junior division between the major US promotions. But the Smackdown cruiserweight division from 02-04 is sooo underrated. I’d stay up on Saturday nights to watch Velocity just to see those matches.

"In this film we hope to show how not to be seen. This is Mr. T.G. Sasuke of Dendenmushi Court, Morioka, Iwate 020 0116. He can not be seen. Now I am going to ask him to stand up. Mr. Sasuke, will you stand up please."

*gunshot*

"This demonstrates the value of not being seen."

This thought process makes sense. It isn't the best for business, but it follows in the way presented here.

Video wall is reminding me of one of the all time great wrestling video packages:

Watching it back for the first time in many years. Yeah, it holds up.

Submit or Surrender is the best Mick Foley/Sting match and a top ten match for both men's careers. It's a match that needs talking up more. Please watch it if you haven't yet.
