Fat Spanish Waiter Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Heroes die in Westeros, end of story. Everyone dies in Westeros. I'm assuming all the lannisters die soon, because why not?
jaedmc Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Ask The Great Hero and Champion of All Things Pure and Noble Joffrey.
Brian Fowler Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I didn't say only heroes die. I'm just saying, guy starts acting like a hero, maybe you should start planning a funeral...
jaedmc Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I'm saying if a guy wakes up and he's in Game of Thrones Land, he needs to recognize he's a fucking beetle waiting for Simple Simon to kuhkuhkuhkuhkill him. Heroes. Villains. All just beetles. This shit's more pessimistic than Lars Von Trier. 1
goodhelmet Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I had no idea people were going to treat Oberyn like Boba Fett. Oberyn's death 10000x more epic than Fett's though.

jaedmc Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 How The Cult of Obe Happened 1. He was cool as hell and banged anything that moved 2. His backstory wasn't something totally new, so I had a reference point as to who he was because of Dany's story. 3. He was pitted against the Ric Flair's of Westeros, when there wasn't really any viable competition, but he actually looked like real competition not just some jabrone they needed Flair to work a miracle with at the Omni. 4. I'm of course fully prepared for everyone to die, so this means I'm anticipating new characters to show up to replace old ones. They've been pretty hit or miss with the new lot since Season 1. Large Marge and Big Gal are aces, I can hang on to them. Stannis & his shit crew, Crippled Stark's Pals, & All Wildlings that aren't the Ginger One(at least until Ciaran Hinds makes the big ass fire we were promised) are lame ducks. Bango Tango was so lame they fired him. I'm constantly on watch for Tyrion and/or Arya to die. They're pretty much the only two I watch the show for, so I guess I'm eager to find people with a story that I can latch onto to carry me just in case one of them gets Martin'd. Obe ticked all my boxes. 1
piranesi Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I'd agree with Point 4 the most. It's one of the ways this show has reconditioned my viewing. I don't recognize a core of characters that are forever with every new addition being merely a narrative device. I'm primed for any new face to become really important. I learned that lesson the hard way with Roose Bolton last year. They made The Hound and Ramsay last season and Oberyn this season. And let's not forget Tywin in season two. I'm a little disappointed in Roose, though. He was poised to be a big deal and has been in exactly two scenes, both as a sidelight to Ramsay's story.
SolidGoldBomb Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Now don't be sad y'all [/squirrely] There are more cool Martells and Greyjoys just around the corner. 1
piranesi Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Rippa will post a Youtube link explaining him to you.
Elsalvajeloco Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Old Daario wasn't fired. He went to go do the Transporter movies.

Elsalvajeloco Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 NOPE I'm putting you on ignore like everyone else. 1
jaedmc Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Speaking of that, have they talked about how many resources The Suckler has in terms of armies? I'm a little weary of Littlefinger's next step from here. No real allies to team with, since most of the crew running with the Starks got fucked when Robb was Red Wedding'd. I guess an allegiance with Stannis, or maybe a Pretty Mean Sistahs faction with Dany and Sansa.

Mountain was supposed to be(in my mind) the gatekeeper match that would have catapulted Obe into the main event. Instead The Mountain was more like the car Magnum T.A. was driving. 1
odessasteps Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Cant watch cody rhodes now without seeing Ramsey Bolton.
