Robert
Tokarski goes in, wins one game, gets anointed the next Ken Dryden before the game is even over. Just watch.
RIPPA
God - I really really hate this Ewing Theory vibe I am feeling right now
Charlie M.
Lundqvist is going to need to turn into a sieve, though.

Charlie M.
Good lord, Rick Nash is scoring in the playoffs and the Rangers PP is working...
Death From Above
I would have bet anything you asked against the Rangers in the final when this playoffs started. Now it looks all but inevitable. That's why games aren't played on paper I guess.
Charlie M.
I'm still not convinced that they don't get smoked in the Final like Ottawa against Anaheim.
Death From Above
The one thing I'd say there is Lundqvist is not Ray Emery. But I don't see it either.

sabremike
They are basically the 2010 Flyers or the 2012 Devils in that everything broke their way to win the East but I just don't see them beating either the Hawks or Kings. The one good thing about the Rangers making the finals is that one of my best friends will extend his streak of cup finals attended to 5 (and he hasn't missed a Calder Cup final since 2004). caley
I was entirely rooting/predicting against the Rangers in the first round (Wanted to see Philly-Pitty in the next round), again in the 2nd (I really wanted to see a the same Final 4 two years in a row), but now I'm rooting for them ('Cuz I hate the Habs). Before the NYR-MTL series, I basically said the same thing as you guys "I think if the Rangers get through, they're gonna get steamrolled in the finals". Now, after watching two games, I'm not so sure. Mainly based off Henrik Lundqvist. He just looks unbeatable. So many times tonight I thought "Oh, here comes the tying goal...oh here comes the comeback" but, no, he stopped everything. I'm not convinced the Blackhawks (who havent't really faced a great goalie playing great before this round) or the Kings (who have trouble scoring goals at the best of times) can score enough goals on Lundqvist to win it. In some ways, it would be terrible fitting if thirty years after winning a Cup, Glen Sather wins his 6th to ride off into the sunset.
Randy
Kings took a risk sending 3 guys in on the short-handed chance and paid directly for it.
Charlie M.
This is looking a lot like last year's series.
Jiji
Yep, boooooriiiing. First two rounds are almost always more entertaining than the last two in the NHL. Complete opposite of the NBA.

Josh Mann
Goddamn. Great last five minutes. I thought MSL getting denied at the doorstep was going to be it but not so much. I'm glad I don't have a horse in this.
Robert
Really good game tonight. Each team gets a bank shot and we get OT. Tokarski has been excellent tonight.
Josh Mann
He's going to have to be superhuman to win this unless Montreal can put it away quick.

Death From Above
Stepan has a jaw fracture after that hit for his trouble. Apparently the X-ray last night missed it which is why he was allowed to return but a follow up this morning found it.
