  1. Past hour
  2. Having seen some AWF through NotThatTomGreen streams and thinking the target audience is "people who think this is an AWA revival" because there's so many former AWA guys hanging around those cards Championship Wrestling From Florida (7/14/1984): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTH9lsSfsw0
  3. Just have Galactus show up and take a big bite out of whatever planet all the Kings are on. Problem solved. Bonus points for a joke where Silver Surfer is telling Galactus, “you got a little Kang next to your lip….no, right there….yep, got it.”
  4. The Bucks stuff was great and makes sense that everyone from the production truck to the ring announcer would needle them after how they've been treating everyone the last year plus. The payoff is probably Callis treating them like shit and then reuniting with Kenny to take down the family, which is neither here nor there, but the pop for Carry On My Wayward Son will be huge. I was surprised how much I liked the Matriarchy promo. Shayna has clearly done some homework on promos since the last time they put her on the mic, so respect there. Julia/Skye/Thekla is the coolest stable that will never do anything. Swerve/Okada? Sure why not? I took the finish of the show to mean that Hangman is done with the Death Riders and they're Darby's problem now.
  5. If you haven't played RoboCop Rogue City yet and you have PC or XBox, it's on GamePass now.
  6. As much a people say that you should never pay a running back, a quality running back us a hugely important part of an offense. They touch the ball 20-25 times a game and are a vital part of pass protection. If you are a running back who is in the last year of your contract and the team doesn't want to pay you, maybe you get a hamstring injury or a concussion and don't play. So teams would either have to pay their running back or completely change everything about how the offense works. There is a very interesting clip from Saquon Barkley pretty much saying. "I don't want to fake an injury, but you aren't giving me much of a choice." He knows like all top level running backs know that they are the engine of their offense. Nobody with one of those guys built an offense that isn't built to use them in every way possible. Basically they're saying if you want to build an offense where I have to carry the ball 20 times, catch passes and protect the quarterback pay me or don't pay me and figure out some other way to do all of that. I'm kind of on their side. It's a job that uses your body like a battering ram, and I'm not doing that every Sunday for anyone who tries to tell me I'm not worth paying.
  7. I was about to say…obviously Star Wars had a Make the Galaxy Great Again wing. Jokes aside, something showing how average inhabitants of the galaxy got sucked up in Palpatine’s bullshit would be cool. Or even post-RotJ, regular people in the galaxy being shown to just be pissed about what Luke Skywalker did. January 6 shit going on as Leah is sworn in and whatnot.
  8. Yeah, between the real trailer and the "teaser" yesterday, MK2 is going to be the Johnny Cage show staring Johnny Cage, featuring Johnny Cage and friends. I'm guessing Cole plays the Cage roll from Annihilation and getting offed in the first 5 minutes to put over Shao Khan as the heavy.
  9. Well if Von Miller can play WR too... (Seriously, that was some painful sports radio this morning in the DC area about the Miller signing...)
  10. Kyle Gibson - who had been on a minor league deal with the Rays - has decided to retire
  11. Meanwhile, it will be Dame Time in Portland once again, once he's healthy. Three year, $45 million.
  12. I've never seen any of these movies, but I'll forever thank them for making the second movie and this one because we got a Daft Punk album and now a NIN album out of 'em. And the NIN one has vocals! So it's basically a new album. The rumor is that he either gets killed very early on, or he's not the main character this time around and it focuses more on the tournament and/or Johnny Cage. I'll still watch it regardless because I actually liked the first movie.
  13. Hey who needs Scary Terry when you just signed Von Miller
  14. seeing footage of One Man Gang from 1984 Florida and thinking it's a heck of a coincidence that Rochester Roadblock decided to try charging the ring on the One Man Gang because Roadblock could have pulled off the pre-mohawk One Man Gang look
  15. Today
  16. I'm still of the opinion that 12 is vastly underappreciated
  17. You get used to Matterspark, but I don't love it. Probably would be better if it was a choice opposed to a necessity. Third Iteration will be disabled for the raid race as I figured. Apparently Outbreak, Choir, and Icebreaker were on the list as well which makes me wonder in what ways they are broken. Actually haven't used any of them yet though now I kind of want to.
  18. I don’t understand the running back part of that. How does faking an injury get you a better contract?
  19. The “problem” with DC Universe building that Gunn will have is that while he seems to have a Feige-esque plan for phases all mapped out, he’s also said they’re moving ahead on movies based on scripts. That’s why Clayface is already moving ahead, while other stuff that seems like it is due for a push is not.
  20. Rhys Darby as Termane was fantastic. Like the implication that Tremane is really a Q as well with his "father's" voice. Also unsure about Spock meeting Korby this early but at this point I'm pretty sure SNW is just a soft reboot of the franchise. I am finding Scotty's lack of confidence(and lack of drinking) amusing.
  21. I was thinking "Peep Show guest star who sells Super Hans fake drugs"
  22. Looooool oh holy shit. “That dude look like a Skinemax vampire” is going into my lexicon. The last time a DVDVR insult stuck with me, it was DEAN’s description of Jim Hellwig in a suit, “he looks like landscaper with a court date.”
  23. Quick follow up. The biggest revelations were J.C. Tretter basically told running backs to fake injuries to get better contracts and then told everybody on a podcast. There is also an interview where Lloyd Howell, who claims he's not a part of the venture capital side of Carlyle Group, basically saying "me and my colleagues at the venture capital firm Carlyle group sure are interested in investing in the NFL." The interview was posted by the NFLPA, but with some fairly obvious cuts that completely remove the sections about him being part of the venture capital group. But, because he said these things at a public press conference a newspaper posted it in its entirety. Two things that are important about this. The players who are on stage, don't react at all to this comment. A lawyer for the union immediately filed paperwork looking into Lloyd Howell and this obvious conflict of interest. The thing people miss about how sports unions work is that the members of the unions are all dudes in their early to mid-20s who do not notice these types of huge red flags. He publicly admitted in front of the people he's potentially screwing over that he wants to be on the other side of their negotiations, but they didn't even notice. When I was 25, I don't think I would have noticed that shit either. I don't think I know any 25 year olds who would. These are all guys who have millions of dollars on the line, but are too young and immature to know how guys like Lloyd Howell are trying to screw them out of their money. He knows that, said it in front of them, and then had it posted on YouTube without the parts that would catch anyone else's attention.
  24. also shout out to Kip Sabian for looking like every vampire in a Cinemax softcore porn last night
  25. TJ Watt is now the highest paid non-QB in league history. He extends with Pittsburgh 3/123 (108 guaranteed).
