A Missouri hospital is reporting that they've had to do multiple amputations for fans who attended the Miami-KC playoff game.

As a Raiders fan and a decent human I will withhold comment, but y'all know what I'm thinking.

Please, Aaron Rodgers.  Please take that next job.  Please.  Do me a favor and sink two ships at once, buddy.

He may not have much choice...

This is gonna go over great, because it's not like he's the QB for a team in the media market WHERE IT FUCKIN HAPPENED.

Well given that he asked years ago to a player if 9/11 was real, I am sure where he plays is never a factor in his stupidity

Somewhere Jesse Ventura is tapping out of the VP race saying "I can't out bullshit this guy"

So there is "legal tampering" which I thought we were still in and "not exactly legal tampering"?

No - legal tampering is over. It ended yesterday when the new league year started

During legal tampering, Teams are allowed to negotiate with agents but not talk directly to the players (unless the players represent themselves)

Quote

Teams are permitted to talk directly with agents during the 52-hour negotiating window, but can't speak to the player unless he has no agent and represents himself.

I should note that it appears Cousins ratted himself out during his intro press conference

Quote

In Atlanta's case, Cousins said Wednesday: "There's great people here. And it's not just the football team. I mean, I'm looking at the support staff. Meeting -- calling, yesterday, calling our head athletic trainer, talking to our head of PR I'm thinking, we got good people here. And that's exciting to be a part of."

Cousins wasn't permitted to speak to anyone before 4 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.

He's the perfect running mate for a guy who is the lawyer for John Stockton as he sues for the right to lie about COVID.

There is something perfect about the way Stockton and Malone run the pick and roll for each other for the title of most unlikeable NBA Hall of Famer.

It's like Stockton got CTE after he retired. I don't remember him being a whacko while he was playing. Fewer opportunities to express it, sure, but he's gone completely off the rails the last 5 years. I worked with his sister for a decade and she's awesome. Super nice and kind.

Karl, on the other hand, has been known as a POS since Day 1.

Even a dude like Ja who seems like he might shoot somebody or have somebody shot on his behalf somehow seems more likable than these two clowns.

The one championship they can win.

The Lions have released Cameron Sutton

This comes one day after comes out that Sutton is wanted by the police over his alleged involvement in a domestic violence case.

It should be noted that the police have been "unable" to locate Sutton since March 7 and apparently Sutton's attorney is also MIA

I'm not surprised a Jets player made a casual anti-semitic comment on a livestreamed interview.

I am surprised it wasn't their QB, however.

Now, I don't think it was truly "anti-semitic", but even casually saying to an interviewer that "Y'all (Jews) run the world" is a bad look

Nah, it's just the kind of thing exclusively said by anti-semitic people.

Remember when the only good receiver(I said receiver not tight end) the Chiefs had last year was Rasheed Rice.  Well not sure if he will be repeating that performance this year

Unless there was a witness that can ID him at the scene as the driver, I assume right now he is finding a good friend that will take the fall. So I imagine he'll be "fine" as far as the NFL goes unless more comes out. I say that not just because he's famous, but unless someone saw the driver its a really hard case to prove as it just being his car can only go so far to proving he was the one driving it.

Still, a shitty situation.

Cam Sutton turned himself in to the sheriff, after three weeks of being wanted.

Which is relieving because I was honestly starting to worry he had killed himself or something.

Here is the weird/wild part of the story

Quote

Speaking last week at the NFL owners meetings, Lions team president Rod Wood told Fox 2 in Detroit that Sutton was in the Lions' workout facility when they found out about the warrant and that a member of the team was able to talk with him and advise him to turn himself in.

"Suggested he get counsel and do the right thing to turn himself in," Wood told the television station. "After that, we met the rest of the day and the following morning to decide to release him."

Sutton's attorney contacted the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office last Monday to say he would turn himself in, only to do so six days later, officials said. He was booked in the Orient Road Jail in Tampa, Florida, at 8:24 p.m. local time on Sunday.

It should be noted that there are - allegedly - are photos of Rice and his friends getting out of one of the cars after the accident

Will that lead to anything *shrug* but, if true, he can at least be placed in one of the cars and the NFL doesn't really need much to hand out their own punishment

The good news on both human and football levels is that there were only minor and mild injuries. It's not a Henry Ruggs or Britt Reid situation with casualties or severe lifelong injuries.

I don't think Rice will lose his job or do jail time or get a long NFL suspension, anything like that. Fined, sent to one of those driver refresher courses, maybe a couple games but not definitely.

The hope is this is enough that he, you know, doesn't do this shit again.

Guess I have to call myself out as this isn't what happened, as Rice has admitted he was driving one of the vehicles. I think he'll definitely get a suspension now between racing and leaving the scene, although he may get somewhat of a break for cooperating. Two of the people they hit were injured enough to go to the hospital so while not a Ruggs situation it wasn't a victimless crime either so I don't think they can sweep it under the rug completely.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Rashee Rice and he has been told he must surrender to authorities today.
