Brian Fowler Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Congrats as I said beating a team 3 times in one year is very hard. Contrary to popular belief, teams that have beaten one opponent twice in the regular season actually tend to beat them again if there is a third match-up in the postseason. I haven't seen the exact winning percentage in a few years, but I recall it being well over 60% of the time.
Burgundy LaRue Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 RGIII and draft picks to San Fran for Harbaugh and ... to DC? I can't see Harbaugh ever working for Synder, especially considering the issues he's having with Baalke and the Yorks.
James F'n X Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 If SF were to not win a game for the next... oh, 5 years or so, I'd be OK with that.
Death From Above Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 There are now 5 teams with 2-11 records. "If the NFL rules were just like the old days, all these teams and the Bears would suddenly magically know how to tackle. DAMN YOU RULES!"
elizium Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 That punter was pretty cheerful for someone that was just murdered. Way to block Bolden into your punter, San Diego blocking guy.
Dewar Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Game was in Minnesota today, so beers were closer to 10 bucks each, and there was some tailgating to be done. A bit disappointed my dumb Jets lost, but at least it was a competitive game.
elizium Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 It's so weird seeing the Vikings play home games outdoors, even with the Vikings logo on the field, I still just mentally assumed it was in New Jersey.
SirFozzie Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I did not expect the pats to go 3 and 1 during this stretch
Tabe Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Seattle cheating on every damn play on offense AND defense and the refs are just looking around at their shoes. It's a move borrowed from hockey - 70s Bruins, 90s/00s Devils, modern Ducks - commit so many penalties and cheat so much that the refs become afraid to call them all. In the case of Seattle, what ends up happening is that they get into the heads of their opponents and they end up complaining even on plays that are clean.
Brysynner Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I'm actually wondering if/when JJ has a pedestrian game against the Jaguars, a team he historically is not good against, how will everyone spin his performance. And I'm done with hot-takes for the year. Though I will enjoy everyone talking about his three sacks, when one was unblocked and the other both he and Bortles slipped on the wet grass and he crawled to touch him.
Brysynner Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 This sums up the Skins perfectly: Worst optimism: Well, the head coach appears in over his head, all three quarterbacks have now failed, the franchise running back gained six yards on eight carries, the franchise left tackle was miserable, the defensive coordinator got ripped by his former captain, the challenge process remains broken, the special teams were decrepit, the pass coverage was often non-existent, and what fans remained in the fourth quarter alternated between booing and calling for the twice-benched former starting QB to retake the field. It didn’t rain, at least. So minus Bob Babich, Jags DC, not getting ripped...it's actually worse in Jacksonville than in Landover...I REALLY need a new sport to follow
Burgundy LaRue Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Dear 49ers fans: You are officially doing too much. Signed, BLR
J.T. Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 That punter was pretty cheerful for someone that was just murdered. Way to block Bolden into your punter, San Diego blocking guy. Holy shit, the hit that got put on that SD dude was fucking murder.
RIPPA Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 There will never be a shortage of attention seekers
Hail Sabin Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Yeah that punter got crushed but it did make me pay attention to Novak punting since he hadn't done it in so long.
Burgundy LaRue Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Eric Berry's lymphoma diagnosis has been confirmed. Rats.
Brian Fowler Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 That sincerely sucks. Hope for a full recovery. Unrelated and much less important: I suppose it's too much to ask for Atlanta to pull off a miracle tonight, especially after they already did the Lions one huge favor earlier this year in London.
Tabe Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Dear 49ers fans: You are officially doing too much. Signed, BLR Way to rock the $5 Montana bootleg jersey there, sport.
elizium Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Unrelated and much less important: I suppose it's too much to ask for Atlanta to pull off a miracle tonight, especially after they already did the Lions one huge favor earlier this year in London. Nah, we don't need any of that.
Vincey Greene Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Unrelated and much less important: I suppose it's too much to ask for Atlanta to pull off a miracle tonight, especially after they already did the Lions one huge favor earlier this year in London. Nah, we don't need any of that. I just need a Julio Jones TD and then the Falcons can fuck off and die.
Hail Sabin Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Unrelated and much less important: I suppose it's too much to ask for Atlanta to pull off a miracle tonight, especially after they already did the Lions one huge favor earlier this year in London. Nah, we don't need any of that. NO we don't. Hopefully this will be a stress free game but knowing the Packers it probably won't be since they love to stress their fans in games.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Between the jersey burning and that bathroom fight video that went viral it has not been a good year for the fans of the team I love.
ivpvideos Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Barring a miracle comeback, looking like the NFC South winner will be 8-8 at best with three games to go.
elizium Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 This is conflicting. On one hand, this game is well in hand. On the other, I need points from you Rodgers, goshdarnit, quit handing it off at the goal line! 1
Death From Above Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Don't worry Rodgers has points for everybody. He's like the Santa Claus of fantasy football. 1
