TheVileOne Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Need for Speed isn't Disney's bomb. It's Dreamworks. Disney is only releasing it.
Antacular Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 NFS higher gross than Guardians? I'd concur, except the history of video-games-to-box-office-failure-rate is well documented.
The Natural Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 So Jon Favreau, Iron Man/Iron Man 2 and Joss Whedon, Avengers Assemble/Avengers: Age of Ultron are the only two directors to do two Marvel Studios films. I wonder what Sir. Kenneth Branagh and Joe Johnston would have done with Thor and Captain America sequels respectively. Adding to that, it would have been interesting to see Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 3 after the reception of Iron Man to Iron Man 2.
TheVileOne Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 So Mike Petersen on Agents of SHIELD is now Deathlok? I fucking called it motherfuckers. I want like 20 million likes on this post: http://marvel.com/news/tv/2014/1/23/21812/deathlok_sets_his_sights_on_marvels_agents_of_shield.
Big Fresh Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 GET IT BEFORE THEY KILL IT!!! http://youtu.be/xUMhW_dFjYs 1
Big Fresh Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 "Hooked On a Feeling" was such an awesome fucking choice there.
Elsalvajeloco Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Honestly, I was expecting worse based on what Antacular said.
Craig H Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 That was fucking great. Hooked on a Feeling was indeed the right choice. I now see this for what it is, a comedy action flick, and picking Chris Pratt to lead was a brilliant choice. Dude is awesome. 1
Craig H Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Wait, for a Super Bowl trailer? Hmm, yeah, 6.5/10 is about right, but I still think the movie looks like a lot of fun. I kind of got a Firefly vibe from it.
Niners Fan in CT Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'd wait to watch it until it's in HD.
tigertooth Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I thought the trailer was pretty bad. Like 20 seconds of generic stuff followed by the jokey song to let you know it's a joke. That said, I was pretty negative about the movie before, but having heard more about the tone they seem to be going for, I'm starting to see how it might work.
Bustronaut Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I kind of got a Firefly vibe from it. You shut your whore mouth
Matt D Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Alright, so I know I said SHIELD would be good and all.. I'm sorry. But Guardians will totally be great. It'll be all Pirates of the Carribean and Princess Bride in Space with a raccoon and Glenn Close and Reilly. It'll be great. Right, guys? 1

Matt D Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Karen Gillan! yes. And Del Toro. and Djimon Hounsou. and Lee by god Pace. This thing has a great supporting cast.
TheVileOne Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 There's not going to be a Super Bowl trailer for this one, per James Gunn.
Bustronaut Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Karen Gillan! yes. And Del Toro. and Djimon Hounsou. and Lee by god Pace. This thing has a great supporting cast. The teaser in Thor 2 screamed Batman '66 in the best possible way, so yeah, it'll be good
Brian Fowler Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I kind of got a Firefly vibe from it.You shut your whore mouth I agree for completely different reasons.
TheVileOne Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 The vibe I got was more Fifth Element than anything. But it's funny. One guy says Firefly. Another says 1960's Batman. I say Fifth Element.
Bustronaut Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Fifth Element IS the best adaptation of comics without actually being based on a comic. 1
