RIPPA Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 IMDB says it has 8 episodes. Don't know if this is more a mini-series or will end up being more than that. But it has Rhona Mitra so... SOLD! 1
Craig H Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Wow, Don Johnson's been making some bad decisions lately. Really? He was in East Bound and Down for a short stint and was in Django Unchained, As a guy who comes off semi-retired, I'd say he's doing pretty well.
Brian Fowler Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 On a purely financial basis, he made some pretty big mistakes during those roles down. But it's very possible he's quite content.

He was in East Bound and Down for a short stint and was in Django Unchained, As a guy who comes off semi-retired, I'd say he's doing pretty well. Yeah, and he was in Machete too. But NCIS is the most popular show on TV (for some unfathomable reason). Whether it would have been had he starred in it, I don't know, but still that's a huge mistake in retrospect.

EVA Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I think Tina Fey just worked in a 30 ROCK reference to the Golden Globes monologue. SOMALI PIRATES.
piranesi Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Don Johnson was apparently the first choice for Horatio Caine in CSI Miami. As if that show wasn't campy enough. He turned down the lead role on NCIS too. Don Johnson is too self aware to play Horatio Caine. It would have been charming, but never gothic enough. He lacks Caruso's bizarre inspiration.
EVA Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 He actually has a role on the FROM DUSK TILL DAWN show launching on that new El Rey network.
EVA Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Whoever came up with the seating arrangement for the Globes failed horribly. All the winners are having to walk half a mile. Yay, Elizabeth Moss. TOP OF THE LAKE was a really good show. Although it's generally a bad idea to get over without Matt Weiner's permission. RIP Peggy.
Reed Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Don Johnson would have been great on NCIS. Show is bland as hell and badly written, but at least with him it would have been kinda of campy and fun too.
piranesi Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I love the idea that Jennifer Lawrence has somehow figured out how to handle and house-break David O. Russell. Is it wrong that I got a little turned on typing that?
EVA Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Hey, finally a winner at the Globes who doesn't need to be handed a Gatorade along with the trophy.
EVA Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Now we know: If your dress requires double-sided tape, it is not wise to run.
Raziel Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 3/4ths in the tank Emma Thompson holding her shoes still drinking her Martini while presenting best Screenwriter wins the prize for best moment of the Globes.
piranesi Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 So, based on his reaction, I'm guessing Lorne Michaels doesn't own a piece of BROOKLYN 99. His attitude to his people is like Vince McMahon. If you achieve something outside of his company, you become invisible to him.
EVA Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Whoa. Andy Samberg just won for BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, rather unexpectedly. Hopefully that'll help keep it on the air for another year.
Ace Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Y'know the face Jim Carrey made when he played Fire Marshall Bill on In Living Color? Now he makes it all the time. 1
piranesi Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Is Rob Lowe researching for a new HBO movie about Lyle Lovett?
Niners Fan in CT Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Is Dallas Buyers Club good? Is Jared Leto that good in it? I was surprised he won in that stacked category.
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Is Dallas Buyers Club good? Is Jared Leto that good in it? I was surprised he won in that stacked category. Yes. And Yes. And McConaughey is better.
piranesi Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Can we just give this fucking award to Hal Needham so we won't have such bizarre shit every year.
