Dolfan in NYC Posted March 26 Posted March 26 There's a port on a western bay and it serves a hundred ships a day... Lonely sailors pass the time a way... We're building to Dynasty, which is... oh god, in two weeks! We better get some matches! We got Moxley beating Swerve, Kenny beating two jabronis, and Toni probably beating Lady Goldberg? WE NEED MORE MATCHES TONY. And talk about their homes, there's a girl in this harbor town, and she works laying whiskey down. They say Brandy fetch another round, she serves them whisky and wine... Of course no one can stop talking about the most gross, disgusting, repugnant thing of last week... Chris Jericho wrestled again. At least he lost an argument to a child: The sailors say Brandy you're a fine girl... What a good wife you would be! Yeah your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea! That was last week... what's going on this week? I know I can't wait to hear Edge and the Revival talking! Woo. (Oh Brandy... you fell in love with a gay man. Yup... you're gonna make SOMEONE a good wife... just not me.) Enjoy the week! 1
The Natural Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Only looking forward to the Hoss/Meat battle in Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Mark Davis. 2
HarryArchieGus Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Very much looking forward to Omega v Blake Christian. Some much deserved TV time for Blake and with a man who will make him look great. I suspect he may surprise a few ppl not watching ROH and Zero Hours. Davis v Hobbs is kind of a Dream-eat match for me. Hobbs is killing it and criminally underrated Davis is a beast. Takeshita v Briscoe! I said 'Goddamn, goddamn!' Fletcher v Brody King! Sure, I'll check out a Toni Storm-Bayne tag. Stoked to get this FTR-Cope feud going. I'm down for a MVP-MJF talkie. That's a helluva line-up! Lots to be excited about. Thanks Coach. Edited March 26 by HarryArchieGus 1

Matt D Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Real curious how Omega vs Christian will go. I don't get the sense Omega likes wrestling stooges and Christian is way over the top with his stooging lately (even if he rushes from bit to bit). He might force him into a more action-oriented box. 1
Technico Support Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Just a reminder to check out Davis on Hey! (EW) from a few weeks back. Mostly about getting high and being flattered over being considered a bear. 3
Curt McGirt Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) I hope someone shames the dad of that kid for letting his kid work out thus stunting his growth. Shit, why didn't Jericho go that route? Stupid Jericho. Edited March 26 by Curt McGirt

Technico Support Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) What wrestling doesn’t need in 2025: a toxic male shitbag like MVP, who brags about his boneheaded robbery arrest like it’s a badge of honor, who hasn’t been shit for 20 years, calling another man a “bitch” 5-6 times and insinuating his tag partner is his “girlfriend” because homosexuality is an insult, right? Seriously fuck that guy. Regressive homophobe trash out here dressing like Monty Hall, using boomer dad insults, acting all hard when there are probably 20 gay dudes in wrestling who could beat his ass. Cobra Commander Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Things I Remember From Tonight's Edition of AEW Dynamite: Kenny Omega squash! Speedball attempts to talk on the mic! Ricochet is getting married and is near a pool! MJF is almost in the Hurt Syndicate until Lashley doesn't want him Jericho is challenging a guy to an ROH title vs mask match. The Learning Tree is going after the Hurt Syndicate. Large William avoids naming his tag team partner from his previous title reign The Copevival wants to wrestle for the trios titles More Owen entrants Swerve and Moxley say things to each other Lots of Callis commentary Top Flight beats their understudies in a job match Toni in the main event again and Megan Bayne beats Toni

Curt McGirt Posted March 27 Posted March 27 - God that Minecraft shit is the worst. At least they're also doing a Trailer Park Boys crossover promotion. Also horrible is having to run to the remote to mute the Candy Crush commercial for that pop hit from... 25 years ago? A little longer? Will it EVER go away?! - MVP may be a crumb-bum, or it could be a character, either way I wouldn't be one to go up against him in a promo because he'll make it look like he's shooting on you and rolling right over the top. Maybe he just did that to Bill because apparently Bill is a MAGA choad? (Which disappoints me greatly) - Renee not even being able to send it back after Toni's "Thundertits" and "strap it on ladies because it's gonna be a bumpy night" was hilarious - Brody/Fletcher was good. Brody is not afraid to show weakness and lose a match, but he should have won this one, and thankfully they gave him some spots where he clearly could've. Maybe more interference next time? They segue into Hobbs/Davis and it was woefully short with a pretty good coverup on what appeared to be a blown spinebuster. Davis is almost too giving in contrast to Brody, who has a good balance set up. - Swerve/Mox segment was surprisingly good, match needs to be No DQ though. Dual juice at least. Hook tells Joe "Come on, bro... it's enjoyable to choke out" which encourages him to put out Caster's lights. Was that... some kind of mutual masturbation we witnessed? - Takeshita/Briscoe was just fine but I think they've a better match in them. Takeshita totally has Street Fighter II music, at least until the guitars come in. The main was perfectly fine as well and Rosa only flubbed one kick. Sign Guy in the crowd had his marker at the ready to write "THUNDER TITS" on his extra blank posterboard, of course. 1
SirFozzie Posted March 27 Posted March 27 If AEW's merchandise people don't have a picture of a thundercloud and the type of bird handy, they're missing the boat. (Thunder Tits!) 1

Nice Guy Eddie Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I enjoyed tonight's show except for Brody losing. For a monster, Brody should be protected more than he is. At least, he only lost due to the shenanigans from Mark Davis. Now, I want to see the Hounds of Hell vs. Aussie Open. 6
Curt McGirt Posted March 27 Posted March 27 https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DwJpKXgz6/ Here's the Toni/Rosa/Renee (and Dr. Looser) bit. Renee initially loses it over "sloptards", it appears 2
DreamBroken Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) Omega/Blake was shorter than expected but a nice way to start the show, enjoyed the Omega/Speedball back and forth. Then Fletcher/Brody get the time with two breaks, liked how that flowed in to Hobbs/Davis. Takeshita/Briscoe ruled and a really fun main event. Thundertits is an epic team, but I really like the Penelope/Bayne pairing as well and Penelope ending up in a main event is cool to see. Guessing Bandido is taking the ROH title from Jericho at Dynasty. edit: Forgot to mention but I loved seeing an intro video back on Dynamite, even if I still wish we got more than one week of "I'm so Excited" as the theme Edited March 27 by DreamBroken 1
Matt D Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I'm really glad that Omega's dance card is full through All In (with things leading to Okada), because a feud with Fletcher would be terrible. I really think Omega doesn't like working against stooging heels. The hierarchy was perfect with Christian but the fact he started out with some chain wrestling and then built to Christian being a weird stooge instead of just leading with it and leaning into it was a huge waste if you're just going to do five minutes with him. Fletcher needs to stay as far away as possible from Ospreay/Omega for the rest of the year so he can continue to develop and lean into what he's doing. His every reaction is great and keeps the fans from getting behind him. Just the way he flails about and kicks his feet and takes bumps on top of bumps and lets things set in. He's the most natural young heel in wrestling in years, maybe decades. 1
For Great Justice Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I do like the high stakes in the Owen this year. I would stretch this out and have whatever combination of the Hangman/Ospreay/White/? final four as both the semis and finals at DoN. Also we have said it many times but the smaller arenas are so much better 1
NikoBaltimore Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Great show though I want to focus on two promo segments. One segment was a complete waste of time and the other turned out to be pretty darn great. Imagine my surprise to say the waste of time was not related to Mox or the Death Riders. It's been alluded to earlier that while Bill has gotten his life together unless something changed his views are opposite of MVP's. It is what it is but it shouldn't get in the way of being professional. Watching the segment back while I like MVP a lot the first half of the segment felt very personal and unprofessional. It set a tone that made me want to go "I don't want to see this match or these guys on the same screen" Now if all it had was what Bill said after HB got out of the ring then it wouldn't be an issue. But I have to fault MVP on this one though Bill didn't do himself any favors initially. As for the other promo Swerve was saying the right things to sell the match but it lacked the intensity and believability to make it work for me. Then Mox spoke and when Swerve spoke again he had all that and then some. It was a helluva segment and made me want to see to match even if it feels like a foregone conclusion. I also like how it built from Rated FTR banding together with Willow stepping in to now her being there to back up Swerve. She's there for these two title matches and when Mox does get beat odds are she'll be there to see it. Say what you will about DR but Willow being the common thread through all this should up her value all goes well. The rest of show was fucking great. I was amused by how much Callis was there for his men's matches but I can't say I was sick of him. I was also amused by the Callis cosplayer who it appears the cameramen loved as they made sure to get him in the same shot as Don when possible. And if I heard correctly for once the crowd did Caster's chant which was great and also a shame he wasn't in the ring when it happened. 1

Shartnado Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Busy night for Don Callis Family. I was thinking 2 for 3 and that's how it went. A bit surprised how easily Hobbs handled Davis, but Ok. All matches were good. Will Brody get to beat Davis at least, to get some revenge? So, Blake Christian didn't get to look like superman in the match with Kenny, but got to show SOMETHING, at least. Lashley saying NOPE to MJF in Hurt Syndicate was good. Let's see how this goes? Also, wouldn't it be kinda funny if Top Flight beats Big Bill and Bad Bountyhunter Apple and end up getting the shot at Hurt Syndicate? I'm Ok with Rated FTR facing Death Riders for the Trios titles. I think we know how this will go down, eh? Thunder Storm was a great name for a tag team. The new name is even better and it was funny how quickly Rosa got over the initial reluctance and was completely embracing the new team name at least early on in the match! Didn't get all the way to the end, so I have to continue tomorrow.
