Matt D Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Here's my stuff for the week (LFI vs BEEF/Drake/Butcher and Athena vs Abadon). http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2024/11/aew-five-fingers-of-death-1028-113.html I also have a quick Kyle Fletcher essay in there at the end. 5

I still have to get to the Fletcher part (pausing for an IRL work thing) but I big agree with your read on the possibility of BEEF's broader appeal - he's like the "every Kentuckian" companion piece to Eddie Kingston's "every New Yorker" if that makes sense. (The other trios match was fantastic too btw - anyone who missed this week, I'd make sure to check the DVR before the cycle starts fresh tmrw) 2

Got nothing but well wishes for the guy. I think he can break out if given the chance. 9

Funny enough, BEEF liked a Tweet of mine the other week too where I was randomly calling to put the Trios titles on him JD and Dutch, I thought I was just screaming into the void so that was kind of cool. I think this makes us 3 officially cousins now 2 1
AxB Posted November 5 Posted November 5 BEEF has been following me for like 3 years. I watched one match of his in Paradigm Pro (when they were still on IWTV), tweeted about how awesome it was, went to bed, and woke up to a Like, Retweet and Follow. Of course I followed back. 5
porksweats Posted November 5 Posted November 5 When the pandemic started and there were wrestler sponsorships, I sponsored Beef on one of BLP's shows. Beef brought to you by Porksweats! He's been one of my guys for years now and I'm loving that he's getting the attention. 8

HarryArchieGus Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Beef’s totally got ‘IT!’ He connects every time out. Colder crowds included. His in ring has been pretty remarkable in low stakes situations. I can only imagine how good he might be with the right opportunity and opponent. I sense mgmt is well aware, I wonder when he gets his breakout Wednesday match where everybody that doesn’t watch the weekend shows falls in love. I expect Beef merch to top the sales charts soon. 4
NikoBaltimore Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I know Lio and Action have been more intense lately but not gonna lie there were some really awkward-looking moments during Lio/Kommander. The lack of handshake is one thing but it almost seemed like they just didn't want to cooperate. I'm sure that's not truly the case but it did make what I assumed would be a quasi-spotfet much more interesting. There were some brutal shots throughout and once past the awkward-looking stuff it turned into one helluva match. 2

Lio brings this kind of harder hitting and grounding vibe to his high flying opponents - see also the Ricochet match on Collision. I could see Lio flourish with the right tag partner, but I'm also game for more in this awesome enhancement role.
