EVA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Bama is very fortunate that Byron Brown does not appear to have improved as a passer at all, otherwise this game would be worse than just the frustrating slog it is. Anyway, I mentioned that USF was a dark horse candidate for the G5 playoff spot, right?
hammerva Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) Probably the last time South Florida is playing against Alabama if this holds up Edited September 8 by hammerva
EVA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Two different Bama coaching staffs have now been flummoxed by Todd Orlando’s wild defense.
hammerva Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Wait a 17 year old playing for Bama? He must be hella smart as well as fast
EVA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 11 minutes ago, EVA said: He’s definitely fast. Like #12 is absolutely flying, running him down, and then the moment he leaps, Williams isn’t there anymore.
hammerva Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) Houston only allowing 16 against Oklahoma and in a close game. Did they fire Dana without telling anyone EDIT: Actually he isn't there anymore. That explains the actual defense effort Edited September 8 by hammerva
Log Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Oklahoma has a tight end named Jake Roberts and I have not yet heard the commentators refer to him as “Jake the Snake”. Disappointing. 1 1
Brian Fowler Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 NC State does not appear to be a playoff sleeper.

Speaking of ACC disappointments, Clemson has dropped SIXTY-SIX on App State through THREE QUARTERS. App is supposed to be pretty good this year, and Clemson doesn’t put up more than like 40 on anybody these days. 1
Brian Fowler Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 Boise has come to fight. I'm feeling worse about Michigan's chances against USC but better about Oregon so far.
Cobra Commander Posted September 8 Posted September 8 meanwhile i'm in a zone where Comcast/Xfinity isn't airing Big 10 Network games involving former Pac 12 schools. I'm also in an area that never got the Pac 12 Network
Brian Fowler Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 I'm not sure who the commentary team peacock is using for Oregon/Boise is, but they suck. Hell of a game though.

EVA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) I know there are still questions about what Oregon is, but Boise did what they needed to do to make their case as a playoff team last night (especially on a night when Liberty had to come from behind in the 4th to beat New Mexico State). If they go undefeated the rest of the way, they should get the 12-seed. Edited September 8 by EVA
EVA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 So this is a thing at North Texas now. Not sure I get the reference.
RIPPA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 In stories I only care about Calvin University - playing its first game EVER - crushed Oberlin 50-6 Even better - the first points ever scored in school history were on a safety 1
RIPPA Posted September 8 Posted September 8 After seeing Shedeur Sanders blame his offensive line for everything, it reminded me of something I saw on Twitter Something to the effect of - feel bad for Colorado fans who used to just have to deal with having an ass team now they have to deal with having an ass team AND everyone hates them 2
Cobra Commander Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I didn't realize until after the first game that the school I went to is ranked #2 in Division 2 Football.. sort of a leap of faith since we didn't really make a deep-deep playoff run last year

Auburn down 21-7 to Cal in the 4th AT HOME. I was there. Of the dumb losses I've attended in JHS over the years, this one has to rank near the top. I'm scared to make that list. It also sadly continues my losing streak of games I attended.
