Gonzalez Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Jason Jett was another guy that was about to breakthrough into the main events before the sale happened.
Web Conn Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Man I loved Jason Jett as a kid he was about to blow too he had just shown up and he was already amazingly over
cwoy2j Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I can understand getting rid of the move, the rest is kind of stupid. They didn't want him to be Shane because Shane McMahon was in a prominent position on tv at the time.
cwoy2j Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Man I loved Jadon Jett as a kid he was about to blow too he had just shown up and he was already amazingly over I loved his finishing move. It was a release suplex sort of thing.
MORELOCK Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I can understand getting rid of the move, the rest is kind of stupid. They didn't want him to be Shane because Shane McMahon was in a prominent position on tv at the time. That's pretty well known, I think his point was that the reasoning behind that is stupid.
Sky Blue Sam Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Did anyone's career hit the buffers worse than Jason Jett's following the WCW buyout? He was a fresh talent on TV, opening PPV's with victories and looked to be on the verge of breaking out...only to go to WWE developmental, being released then pretty much vanishing bar one or two TNA appearances.
HumanChessgame Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 He worked on a few early ROH shows but I heard he quit actually wrestling as his side business making tights paid more.
supremebve Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 He worked on a few early ROH shows but I heard he quit actually wrestling as his side business making tights paid more. Wait...the dude with some of the worst tights of all time made more money making tights than wrestling? So did he not get high on his own supply or was he basically making zero dollars wrestling?
mattdangerously Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Hey now, at least his tights looked unique... Okay, I'll admit that is damning with faint praise...
Gonzalez Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 If you were wondering why 85% of wrestlers wore pleather in the early 00's? Jason Jett was the reason. Shit, I wouldn't be shocked if some of the gear on Highspots.com is the same old EZ Money gear that wasn't sold.
GuerrillaMonsoon Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Remember the Fake Kane debut when he went over Kane and then basically got ret-conned the night after never to be spoken of again?
Web Conn Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 Inspired by recent discussion over at the October thread I present to you: Jack Swaggers debut Not lackluster but not that memorable either
