MLB 2015 - Spring Training!

Neither 154 or 144 would really effect the "the season is too damn long!" crowd. Going to 154 would probably just result in eight more off days being sprinkled throughout the current schedule, while going to 144 would probably end up just chopping a week off the schedule and no one would give a shit.

By the way, Tabe - your "take as long as you want getting in, but don't bitch if you only get two warmup pitches" proposal for relievers is part of the commercial break thing. The timer starts at 2:25 (local) or 2:45 (national), and they've gotta throw their last pitch by the 30 second mark.

Either one of those outcomes is fine with me. I think more days off would improve quality of play, even if just marginally.

Nice! Thanks for letting me know, Joe.

Damn. Josh Hamilton is going to be suspended for drug use. That sucks. Hate to see people fall off the wagon.

I thought it would be "worse" and diffrent than drugs.

Different than PEDs. I can't remember who and I'm too lazy to dig it up, but I recall "drug of abuse" being referred to.

At least move the Astros back to the NL. Bud Selig is going to rot in Baseball hell, if not actual hell for that one. . .

Why exactly? You cut down there travel, as well as the NL central teams travel. Houston in the AL West makes perfect sense.

You don't cut down the Astros' travel. Sure, Arlington's not so far, but Seattle, Oakland, and LA are all farther away from Houston than any of the NL Central teams. Mean average air miles between Houston and the NL Central cities is 932, vs 1,276 for the AL West.

Baseball had only one thing on the other sports and that was tradition. Bud Selig, like the used car salesman he is, took a dump on it for short term gain. If they were going with this idiotic scheme of interleague play every day, they should have moved Milwaukee back, but no. . . .
