Death From Above
Yeah it was a Saints game. They run it in Sportscenter top 10's a lot.
The Nature Boy
Western Kentucky was up 49-14 midway through the third quarter of this one. Why didn't they just go for a PAT and try to win in overtime? A 2 pt. conversion seems too risky.
Gonzo
Wasn't there an NFL game a few years ago that had an insane last play for the would be game tying touchdown, only for the placekicker to inexplicably gak the PAT? And if I'm not mistaken, that's Curt Menefee on the call.
RIPPA
Coaches will go for the win instead of Overtime because they often know their team is spent and doesn't have a shot in OT. The generally bank on one play from the two where you have the ball as opposed to having to play defense

Cobra Commander
degenerate gamblers on Twitter are accusing WKU of point-shaving, because WKU decided to value the 3.5pt spread after going up 49-14

Cobra Commander
you'd think they should be accusing the CMU coach of nefarious deeds since a 2pt attempt guarantees the spread was covered, while WKU could cover 3.5 in OT. But we know the gambling houses are trying to figure out how to best rig the Rice/Fresno State game to hinder Tommy from Medford who has Rice to cover the spread

Pete
I get that there's a shit-ton of bowls now, but how exactly did 6-7 Fresno qualify for one? Because that just looks ridiculous.
EVA
Their 7th loss came in the MW championship game. There's an exemption that protects 6-6 teams from missing out on a bowl because of that scenario. I want to say UCLA went to a bowl at 6-7 after losing the PAC-12 title game a few years back. Hail Sabin
They did. On another note do you guys want to do a Bowl Pick 'em for the Big Bowl games starting with Dec 30th or 31st games?

EVA
Ole Miss hasn't been the same since Treadwell went down. Hard to be a one-dimensional team without your best player. When you have to put your 300lb backup QB in the game to even remotely threaten your opponent with the run game, you have a problem.

EVA
I saw that coming as soon as they announced the matchup. Too bad Johnson had to waste his once-every-four-years team on a season when Jameis was still in the conference.
