Of course I don't think that Andy Reid OC's really do much of anything on their own, so Matt Nagy's first two games with Mahomes being pretty meh offensive efforts is what it is. Yeah they showed Matt Nagy talking to offensive players at one time but if he's not calling plays, how much of the talking is gonna mean anything. Matt Nagy is a downgrade. Say what you want about Bieniemy, but Mahomes loves him and literally everyone on the team said that Bieniemy is the one who figured out the Eagles defense. Like I said before, there are plenty of reasons he might want to leave, but I find it very hard to believe that they were going to fire the offensive coordinator after having the best offense in football and winning the Super Bowl.
Travis Sheldon Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Sean Payton running a headhunting scheme? Nah...
Cobra Commander Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 it's not technically a firing if the guy's contract ends and you don't bring him back also, Ron Rivera is a former Andy Reid assistant for a time, but then again, this is the NFL and presumably every coach can be connected to Reid within 6 degrees
supremebve Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Nothing says, "I don't trust my quarterback," more than an inside handoff to the 3rd string running back on 3rd and 17.

That’s his resting face. He’s doing a pretty good job. I know they’re calling basic crap because of him to start with but every time they try something different they screw up big time. It’s not anybody’s fault either except for the Cook fumble. It’s just plain not working.
dogwelder Posted September 17, 2023 Author Posted September 17, 2023 It sure does look like the illegal hit on Thomas pissed the Commanders off because Denver has looked horrible since then

RIPPA Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Denver is throwing up all over themselves and I hate football again
Cobra Commander Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 not sure where a RedZone Channel block of Jets/Cowboys, Commanders/Broncos, Giants/Cardinals and 49ers/Rams is gonna rank for game quality but..
hammerva Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Death, taxes, and Joey Slye missing important kicks
Cobra Commander Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Puka Nacua moving up the ranks for football names that are fun to say 1
hammerva Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 And now the Cardinals are remembering their year objectives and falling apart again
Brian Fowler Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 The whole "EB couldn't get a head coaching job because nobody gives credit to Reid's offensive coordinators" narrative falls apart as soon as you remember his previous two OCs that didn't call plays both got head coaching jobs. Anyway, nice to see that somebody told the Giants offense during halftime the season has started.
RIPPA Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 The Giants are an XP away from tying this game

It's possible that Matt Nagy is also to blame here. But then again, the Bears are the Bears, so.
Brian Fowler Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 It doesn't count because of holding but Zach Wilson just made the kind of incredible throw that reminds you why he was a top three pick.

Brian Fowler Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 CBS could really switch just to Denver/Washington or something now
RIPPA Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Sigh... I guess Washington is going to the Super Bowl 2
Cobra Commander Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Giants/Cardinals turned out to be that rebound game for the Giants that I envisioned last week
BloodyChamp Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 He had some picks when he started just throwing fuck its in the chuck it buck its, but nothing else was working so… And ROFL at Sean Payton whose trash talking was only overshadowed by Deion’s, cept Payton isn’t backing his up. 1
Brian Fowler Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Russell Wilson sure tried to kill their last chance right there.
