I've been partying with REO Speedealer.

There actually was a Texas metal band that came out in the early 90s called REO Speedealer. They shortened their name to Speedealer after getting slapped with a cease and desist from REO Speedwagon.

I worked at a video rental store (yep, old) in high school and one of the older dudes who worked there used to wear an REO Speedealer shirt all the time. I swear it took me months before I realized it didn't say "Speedwagon". He used to get so many compliments from older dudes on it. "Oh, yeah! Speedwagon! Great band!" He'd never correct them.

Yeah, they're in that Zeke mold, right? Probably like Nashville Pussy a band that would be opening for Lem and co.

EDIT: Yeah they sound like it. Besides... the name. (In the Geezer Butler book he said Phil Campbell told him he was bummed one time because Lemmy had spent the ENTIRE ALBUM ADVANCE on meth. Daaaaaaaaamn. And I believe this conversation took place sometime in the 2000s!)

The concept of spending an entire album's advance on meth is insane to me. It's SO CHEAP! You can stay awake for a week for $60.

Jesus, $60 to stay awake for week? If we were talking yayo, $60 gets you little more than a half gram.

Yeah, $60 would get you around two grams in some places.

Of course after a few days your mouth is dry and bleeding and you're having meth psychosis set in.

We'll be there 13th-15th.  Going to a concert at the Fine Line on the Friday so I'll be solo and am up for pretty much anything.  Saturday night will be my wife and I so maybe somewhere a little fancier?

Dang, I’m late on this. Where did you guys eat?

I walked straight out of Culver's once due to the color scheme. It was so sterile it was creepy and I just got weirded out.

Arby's is like Spirit Airlines on the Late Show but they had some current cool due to their Twitter, until Musk and the crazies killed all that.

Culvers is great, but get it to go. Booths aren’t gamechangers.
Arby’s gets hated on. Good chicken sandwich, curly fries are a classic, the shakes are good, jalapeño poppers and Motz sticks are great for fast food. Big Arby’s supporter, but won’t travel far for it.

Yes, Elon sucks and is trying too hard to be the modern crazy rich tycoons of yesteryear. Too transparent.

My first job was a Blockbuster. It was in an annoying wealthier area. Having to tell rich people they owed a $1.25 for a month late movie as an awkward teen taught me a lot about humanity.

Oh, no worries. We had no time on Friday so we got takeout from Brit's Pub, which was next to our hotel. Saturday we ate at our friend's house.

I definitely want to come back. Ted Leo was awesome and I had a good time just wandering around downtown.

We were the only rental place for a few small towns. It was great. When a person argued about a late charge, the manager told us to tell them we'd delete their account. Having no other convenient options, they'd always pay up.

I didn't know Octopus was younger than me. I thought we were round about the same age or two years difference. That's the octopus genes for you.

An air fryer does a pretty bang up job too.

Depending on the pizza, I will start the griddle and put it on there with a lid over it and just add a few drops of water for a good steam.

Pro tip for re-heating pizza with pineapples on it: use the toaster oven, not the microwave.

100%. If you have a traditionally cold thing on a pizza micro is not the way. Pan fry is good if you have the time.
