  2. https://m.basketnews.com/news-206165-tnt-lose-nba-media-rights-to-nbc-report-states.html Two ways to think about this one, I guess: it either frees up a lot of "cap space" for AEW, or Turner is getting out of sports entirely (Unrelated, but as upset as I am at losing the NBA on TNT crew, at least 'Roundball Rock' will likely be back in our lives for the first time since the Elite returned from suspension)

    MLB 2024 - May

That would be the guy. It showed me Hal's 1968.
  4. No shit, in my till at work the last two days I've had a gold dollar with James Buchanan on it. They literally ran out of people and things to put on money. What next, a one year run of Warren Harding quarters? I hate being a history major sometimes, it ruins everything.
  5. The Simpsons should have ended 25 years ago. Though I suppose at least now he actually sounds 100+ years old.
  6. Today
  7. Oh, "Hades II". Those wonderful bastards have me hooked all over again and I'm liking how the new stuff mixes very well with familiar territory. I got it yesterday and barely scraped by to the second realm. But it just feels so damn good. Also, unless you don't like cats I can't recommend enough "Little Kitty, Big City" It is incredibly, incredibly adorable and in my case is a nice chill game to do after dying so many times in "Hades II".
  8. You thought Kingston coming out all bloodied and trying to set Danielson on fire last time was crazy? Wait until FTR Hair comes out with a Glock and holds Matt Jackson at gunpoint.
  9. Quentin Dupieux's movies are on Mubi - I'll watch the ones that are up at some point. Yannick was out last year and takes an hour and some change to finish. I'm hoping Coppolla's movie comes to Atlanta, but Atlanta tends to cycle arthouse films really quickly (like I missed the chance to see another of Lea Seydoux's movie - The Beast and missed seeing Stress Positions).
  10. I know Sony Pictures are throwing shit (and I mean shit) against the wall to have their own Sony Spider-Man Universe but still no Spider-Gwen unless they can't? I'd love to see a live action Spider-Gwen with Emma Stone or Hailee Steinfeld.
  11. Hope you get on okay. Said it before and will again, I'd be fucked without the NHS particularly with the Cerebral Palsy. After that the depression. We'd have been fucked without for my late great Mum too.
  12. Had me at Fleabag and lost me at 22 Jump Street...
  13. Yeah, at this point, they're just fucking with people. I doubt there's even a series at all.
  14. Even though this happened over 120 years ago... this still qualifies:
  15. Love all the Easy Rawlins until the book where Mosley brought Easy back. Mouse is such a fun little psychopath James
  16. The Week 1 MNF game is Jets at Niners
  17. Harrison Butker was asked to give a commencement speech and had some things he wanted to say
  18. I watched Ilja/Yeet Man live out of morbid curiosity to see if Ilja could be the one to finally drag something decent out of Yeet Man, and I honestly was not surprised that the answer was a resounding no. How little juice must one have to not be able to at least show some fire against Ilja? No good wrestling can escape the Jey Uso Vortex. In fairness, it’s also clear that the general WWE audience has no idea what to make of Ilja’s act or how they’re supposed to feel toward him, as he was just introduced as “that guy who was NXT champ, and that’s supposed to mean something to you.” Which is easier to hide vs. Ricochet because they just go out and get pops for working hard and fast. Much harder against Jey, who absolutely is not going to work hard or fast and brings nothing to the table but the yeet stuff. And Ilja ended up getting stranded in a sea of polite indifference, even when you could tell he was trying to go subtle heel to squeeze something out of the crowd.
  19. President Buchanan isn't on any fiduciary note that I'm aware of. (Fun fact, the park in DC that has the monument to his Presidency is a pretty notorious cruising spot for gay men.)
  20. Not sure which player B-R showed ya, but Hal Lanier pulled off the feat *twice* for the SF Giants. 1967 - 151 games, .494 OPS 1968 - 151 games, .461 OPS
  21. Yeah, Lea Seydoux is marvelous. I looked up filmmaker Quentin Dupieux and see that he was Mr. Oizo. What an interesting career. A new Coppolla is interesting, but I may wait for your review first. Francis has struggled to achieve much of interest in the last 3 decades. This does look interesting. Dustin Hoffman rears his cancelled head. So too Voight.
  22. It was a shit case from the get-go.
  23. Megalopolis - @HarryArchieGus and maybe a few others along with me will be there day 1. Who knows if this will ever come to the US in theaters. Lea Seydoux can just sit there and read a book and I would be there.
  24. I'm roughly 60-65 percent through "Apt Pupil" - the second novella in the collection. It's another good one, albeit with some very unsettling scenes in it. I was talking about it with my sister last night and she informed me that Dusander is played by Ian McKellen in the movie, which completely fits and probably explains the accent that the narrator uses for the audiobook, because it sounds like he's doing his best McKellen impersonation. I'll definitely finish it today and possibly also the next one in the collection "The Body" (better known as Stand By Me, one of my all time favorite movies).
  25. Shad starts his own Network
