Just read Blood Hunt #1 (retailer privilege, I've actually had it since last week but didn't have time to check it out until now) It very much feels like the Marvel version of a Geoff Johns event. I figured out the twist real early on and the last few pages really belabor the point, but it all lines up. Gonna be interested to see what the logic is behind the call. There's a lot of characters who seem to be dead by the end of issue #1 that either aren't permanent because come on or that we know are going to be turned because solicits. It is what it is. It's gonna be an interesting litmus test for Jed MacKay as a bigger scale player. It's already kind of exposing some things I find sort of eye roll worthy but mileage may vary on it. More good than bad for sure though and it feels so massive that I'm genuinely unsure how it's gonna resolve, so that's a plus. No idea what the Red Band differences are, also, but I can speculate based on how some moments were framed.

It's May! We get a WWE PPV in France! Some other stuff too! Meanwhile, let's check in on the former Dolph Ziggler who has apparently got the diplomatic skills of a Secretary of State because he's somehow managed to do this: Good for him! Onto May!

I love Keith Lee and thought he had a world title run in him before all his health issues, but I can't see him selling any ppvs right now. That match should happen, but on Dynamite. I'm also not liking Roddy being sacrificed to Ospreay, though it will no doubt be an excellent match. There has to be better ways to keep Will occupied until All In than giving him one of three secondary belts, and someone like Garcia or face Wardlow would benefit a lot more from getting that win.

Yuna Manase will take Totoro Satsuki's place in the ICExInfinity League. She'll face Yappy on May 4 in the first match for both. Yuu has been booked to fill the gap. She'll replace Totoro in the scheduled tag match on May 3, so Yuu and Yuna Manase will face Yuko Sakurai and Sumika Yanagawa. Yuu will also replace Yuna on May 4 in her originally scheduled tag match, teaming with Mizuha against Yuko Sakurai and Makoto. Yuu has only appeared in Ice Ribbon twice before, a May 2020 win over Ibuki Hoshi, and a May 2023 win over Yappy, so it's good to see her coming back again! (Secretly, I'll wish for a Team 200kg appearance next.)

God I was so wrong about him. I really thought signing him to a big deal was a huge risk and there was a really good chance he would never play better than he did in that last playoff run in Dallas.

Roman's ula lei is going up in a live event tomorrow. It's the first of the unlockable "Oddities" costume parts we've seen since the game launched with Cody's "ugly" mask (in a live event match which was retired on 4/1) and the Stardust gear (still unlockable). No word on how long the card will be available, or when any of the Trick and Seth sets which actually unlock alternate character versions will start to drop.

Sherri's accent in the segment where she gets kicked out of Harlem Heat is a very "toughest woman in the mobile home complex" voice. No offense to any people but that is even more Alabama than her usual voice.
