BloodyChamp Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Everybody always judges the quarterback when he makes a mistake and the truth is it’s rarely his fault. You don’t realize it until you see something like this that when a quarterback does make a mistake it comes under some kind of pressure or confusion. He’s planting his foot, throwing the ball, extending cleanly and missing. The only 3 guys I’ve ever seen actually do that are Kaep, Sanchez and Jamarcus Russell. This is bad.

The first one at least was tipped. But that second one was just inexcusable. There's literally a thousand+ high school quarterbacks who make that play and make it easily. The third was just a little off and could be chalked up to "shit happens" except coming after the previous throw. That was just *bad*.
BloodyChamp Posted September 3 Posted September 3 The tipped one was way to hot. That’s why it flew the way it did. It still almost made it. Had it not been tipped it might have broke the goal post. 1
Contentious C Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I'm here for Clemson sinking FSU's season by providing the one year DJ looked almost competent.
Brian Fowler Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Also, B.O.B.'s offense is looking good. Lots of plays designed to take advantage of their strengths, attacking FSU's linebackers over and over, moving the QB all around.
BloodyChamp Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Our backup is not the most gifted athlete but he played the whole UGA game and he didn’t wince. He’s better than this guy for that reason alone. This dude is shook big time.
Cobra Commander Posted September 3 Posted September 3 it's ESPN's fault that the Noles are playing two powerhouse programs like Georgia Tech and Boston College to start the season 1
SirFozzie Posted September 3 Posted September 3 If Clemson and FSU were supposed to be the top teams in the ACC, it's going to be a REALLY down year.
EVA Posted September 3 Posted September 3 FSU is its own great point/counterpoint for living and dying in the transfer portal. 2023 FSU put together a great class of impact players who got them over the hump to win a championship. 2024 FSU loaded up on a bunch of replacement level players, and they’re gonna be fortunate to win 8 games. Like, nobody at Alabama was putting on sackcloth over losing Roydell Williams and Malik Benson.
EVA Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I noticed that BOB was keeping the Castellanos QB run game in the bag through the 1st half. Unleashed it at just the right time to scorch a gassed FSU. 12 guys on the field and BC still ran right through them at the GL.

Didn't get a conference title, but otherwise very similar situation. I think teams ultimately still need to be built first and foremost through high school recruiting and supplemented with smart transfers either filing a couple holes or if you happen to be able to get a star to upgrade. At least to have consistent year in and year out success.

A few scrambles and some movement to get throwing lanes, but yeah not many designed QB runs until boom. I like what he's doing with this offense even if I'm suspecting the Noles just kind of suck.
Brian Fowler Posted September 3 Posted September 3 BC can probably kill it here with a good drive and points.
Just Adam Bay Bay Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Thanks to you guys I’m gonna win a bet I made. BC +2.5, BC +3.5 3rd and 4th Quarters and Over 34.5 (combined). The 50% profit boost at FanDuel helped too.
EVA Posted September 3 Posted September 3 BC guy just drew a personal foul on FSU and hit the griddy in front of the ref. Bold. 1
EVA Posted September 3 Posted September 3 This is a truly shocking outcome. GT was a recognized spoiler team in the preseason, and the game was across the world. BC was NOT expected to be competitive at all in BOB Year 1. And it’s at home (not that FSU has a great homefield advantage these days). BC has 200+ rushing (and 150 of it isn’t Castellanos). Wow.

Yeah I did not see this coming. Even when they dominated the first quarter I figured the depth chart talent would win out as it went on, and maybe BC would really regret that dropped rail route on the first possession. But they've kicked the hell out of the Seminole defensive front all night.
Brian Fowler Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Does get back to my firm belief that O'Brien is an underrated head coach who has the unfortunate situations of taking over Penn State during a nightmare scenario and they having that idiot GM Bill O'Brien building his roster in Houston. 2
Hail Sabin Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Jordan Travis covered for up a lot of things on offense with his toughness & ability to hit throws right before getting murdered. 1
BloodyChamp Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) We were always climbing back under Norvell, and the worst loss in our history that most people don’t even remember, didn’t stop us. We only got the portal whore reputation this year. It’s since kind of attached itself to his whole time here. In any event this is what it got us. Edited September 3 by BloodyChamp
Hail Sabin Posted September 3 Posted September 3 The most shocking thing so far is how bad our offensive & defensive lines have been just the drizzling shits at times.
