J.H. Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 (edited) Finally sat down and watched Justice Society: World War 2 I loved this so much, like the most fun I've had with DC animated project since JLU ended. Quick question though... That was a time travelling Kamandi with Superman's costume right? James Edited November 28, 2021 by J.H.
J.H. Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Special Guest The Joke? Are they appearing on Carson or some shit? James
odessasteps Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Brubaker is going to be an executive producer and help run the writers room on the new Batman HBO/CN cartoon.
odessasteps Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 Looks like they finally added Mystery Incorporated tothe scooby doo stuff on hbo max. still no scooby doo movies though. 1
odessasteps Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 The Usagi cartoon is coming to Netflix end of April.
The Natural Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 It's either Batman: The Dark Knight Returns or Batman: Under the Red Hood.
odessasteps Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 This is so trippy, no suprise with Bakshi working on it.

odessasteps Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) From what I read, Bakshi reused Rocket Robin Hood backgrounds for Spider Man. clip from the parallel Spidey ep Edited May 15, 2022 by odessasteps
tbarrie Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Sounds right. But I think this is the only time they recycled a whole episode.
odessasteps Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Are we discussing Chip n Dale here? One of my friends said he was shocked by some of the non Disney cameos.
odessasteps Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Having zipped thru it, it was fine, but, maybe too cynical for the material. Some of the references were clever. I don't have the same childhood nostalgia, though, as Matt and others. 1
Eivion Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I enjoyed the movie. Kind of dug that it was a bit of an ode to WFRR with so many toons from all over converging and living with real life people. Only things that felt missing were Warner toons. Was also kind of interesting with the commentary bits on animation and other things. 1
odessasteps Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Was talking to guys at work about how "dark it was." Maybe since Roger Rabbit was an adult movie, some of the film noir tropes and Judge Doom weren't too much, as opposed to some of the similar stuff in CND. I don't remember RR being as wink wink as CND felt to Me. I've been meaning to rewatch RR, so maybe this is a good time.
(BP) Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 All I know is my daughter watched Vision get the mind stone ripped out of his head a couple of days ago without incident, but RR freaked her out and we couldn’t finish it. I wasn’t even upset at the movie; I felt bad she was rattled, but having to answer questions all night about why Flounder was renditioned, disfigured, and enslaved was kind of funny.
