odessasteps
One thing I hated, though logical, is how their morning drive show was just same 2/3 stories recycled for 4 hours. Perfect for people in and out of their cars. Bad for person listening at their desk all morning.

I know you know how to stream pretty much any show in the country so its not like you are being forced to listen to it.

There was some streaming, then, since we all listened to TK's "internet show" during commercials.

dokdoyle
In other Wyshynski news, Puck Soup now has a patreon. I'm guessing we get an announcement about Greg going where ever he is going early in the week and then the last MvsW later in the week as they did say they would explain why it had to end. I'm guessing Greg is going to somewhere that Rogers considers competition (Probably The Athletic) Sean Lehey is going where ever Greg is as well. odessasteps
Marek is going to be hosting a new Saturday night whiparound radio show with Shannon. (Hoping Marek will be on the pod in couple weeks when he has time.)
muhammedboehm
Actually for those thinking Katie will be part of Greenie's show. If you listen to Richard Deitsch SI: Media Podcast, hes said its very likely ESPN wanted Katie on the show but Katie didn't want it because she sees the writing on the wall that if it fails ESPN wont hold it on Greenie but on her. ("Hey, here's a real big guy that used to play football and his brother was on that awful Saved by the Bell spin-off so let's make him a dum-dum!") When it comes right down to it, I think Greenberg needs Golic more than vice-versa. I absolutely agree about Greenie the sportscaster. I said as much a few pages back when I called him a generic talking head. Like I said, I've never thought he needed his own show. However, I've met Mike outside of his show several times - in connection to his two novels and book tour(s). He came off as an intelligent, thoughtful guy. And his novels were both pretty good. Actually, I thought the second one ("My Father's Wives") was excellent. Definitely think he needs Golic more than Golic needs him. Though I'm not too optimistic about Golic/Wingo either. Wingo's been subbing for Greenberg on a regular basis lately and it's not really must-watch radio for me. From what I remember, ESPN paired Golic and Greenberg in the first place because Greenie wasn't catching on with audiences (he started off as one of the first hosts when ESPNEWS went on the air). ESPN Radio was airing in just four markets when Mike & Mike started, so it wasn't like it was a step up for him.

RIPPA
Quick glance at her twitter and she had a LONG string of tweets after Jerry Jones statement yesterday so one has to assume that the four letter clearly wasn't pleased he was going after someone associated with the Cowboys EDIT More specifically it was because she theorized that sponsors should boycott the Cowboys https://deadspin.com/espn-suspends-jemele-hill-two-weeks-for-no-good-reason-1819290405
odessasteps
Presumably, even if your record was clean, calling for a sponsor boycott of a rights partner would get you in hot water.
Ryan
I don't think she was saying, hey go and do that, but just publicly throwing out ideas which of course are interpreted that way during a long string of tweets about all of it. ESPN shouldn't do a damn thing regardless. Chicken shit corporate garbage. There's people who should have been canned on the spot who didn't even get suspended for stuff we've probably never heard of. *glances at Chris Berman*

RIPPA
As someone pointed out - no one believed Bill Simmons a few years ago when he rattled off the issues he had with ESPN and his social media. Now he appears to be vindicated
hammerva
Really does show you how without the NFL ESPN would be near its death bed right now in its struggles. If jerry Jones was owning the Yankees, Cavs, or Dallas Stars she wouldn't have been in trouble for her comments. I guess Michael Smith is having a one or two day off "protest" because of this. At least he is still loyal to her a little bit

RIPPA
So - Gilbert Arenas and Mia Khalifa are going to be hosting a DC themed sports talk show via Complex No - I am not making this up https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dc-sports-bog/wp/2017/10/10/gilbert-arenas-and-mia-khalifa-will-co-host-a-daily-sports-talk-show-for-complex/?utm_term=.2edbd898c1c3 Quote “Out of Bounds,” a daily program scheduled to premiere Oct. 16 on Complex News’s YouTube Channel, will bring “the comments section to real life,” according to a Tuesday news release announcing the endeavor. The show will also personify “the rawness of social media commentary in an authentic way,” according to the release. And it will be led by two personalities who built massive online followings out of their willingness to say just about anything. because that is what we needed... odessasteps
I didn't realize she was no longer a porn star. This would be like April O'Neil hosting a Doctor Who podcast. Someone get podcast one on the line.

hammerva
Hey if Lisa Ann can do a fantasy football radio show (assume she is still doing it) then why the hell why not for Mia Khalifa. Although from reading from my Twitter maybe Barstool Sports would have been the better location for her. Geez that is kind of weird
