Eivion
Figured Kid would stay with OT. Will make her big match with Mayu on the final day all the more interesting. Also had a feeling Takumi was participating. It just never made sense to try to keep a secret unless it was a big name. Its why I ruled Rin out for the most part. Will be interesting to see how things play out out. Takumi doesn't really even need the finals. All she has to do beat or draw with Utami and she can easily just be no. 2 or 3 in her block while still qualifying for a title shot. Really looking forward to Takumi/AZM. Eivion
Wonder if Natsuko will maybe work in a manager role on the outside when she is healthy enough. Could do that until she is able to return to the ring. If that is the plan it would explain why they are in no rush to name a new leader. Honestly as much as Western fans complain about her Natsuko has been a good leader, and no one else right now is quite fits for the role.
quackhell
Just watched the Mayu vs Oedo Tai gauntlet. Incredible performance by Mayu and the storytelling with SLK is great. Watching things play out between them as Mayu's career winds down should be awesome.
J.H.
It took a few months but Natsuko grew into the role of OT leader and definitely changed the vibe of the group. It evolved from fun drunk pirates under Act, to fun troublemakers under Kagetsu and now they are just gull on malevolent heels under Natsuko. Its been a fun ride

Honestly, the turn to malevolent heels was only a matter of time since the group itself evolved from Kimura's Monster-Gun.

Jiji
Kaoru was on her way to retirement but she injured her knee and ankle. Six month recovery time and Chigusa is saying Kaoru's return match will be her retirement match. If you don't follow Kaoru on twitter you should, as she has two adorable cats including a floppy eared white kitten. Rinrin leaving Gatoh Move. Jiji
That match ruled. Spoiler I was worried when she had to change arms for la magistral, but the way she snapped around for the actual pin was so slick. Good for her. Awesome stuff. Oh yeah, she smoked the back of her head on the wood floor on that dropkick late. Damn. Edited July 22, 2021 by Jiji
J.H.
Heard Lulu came out of it a little worse for wear (concussion?). I love a "Respect" angle and this is one of the best one of those I've seen in more than a decade James

Jiji
What's this about Arisa Hoshiki working an upcoming Actwres show?! Officially announced and she herself retweeted. People really do retire to get away from Rossy/Stardom it seems. We need Arisa WASSHOI'ing ASAP.

Brookes has been doing top notch work during his time in Japan and this was a fantastic performance. Heeling it up big time to really get you to feel for the underdog in Lulu while also leading her through the 30 minutes expertly. A great story artfully told.

Jiji
Yoooooo. Also Ice Ribbon's show at Yokohama Budokan on August 9 has two big matches: Tsukasa vs. Hiroyo and Yamashita vs. Suzu in Suzuki's next deathmatch trial (I think it's a trials match). Fujimoto and Matsumoto are tagging on the same card prior to their match and face Sera and Yukihi. Looks a great show on paper.
