Go to the above link if you wanna snag it (and the one above that to listen to it). They also have Worship Him and Blood Ritual on LP too, along with some stuff like the demos on CD. AVE SATANAS...
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Been listening to the new Pyre record, Where Obscurity Sways, at work. Kind of a Death and Roll style to it. https://pyredeathmetal.bandcamp.com/album/where-obscurity-sways 1
Curt McGirt Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxkCVnphO2g Buried and almost forgotten, some old, old, and evil evil evil death metal from Cali: Sadistic Intent. This will make you want to jump off something very high up in the air. 1
Curt McGirt Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 Huh. Not really surprised I guess, i hear about them playing fests sometimes. Weird for a band that have less than two full albums over the course of 25 years or so.
FireThunder Posted February 26 Posted February 26 A perfectly cromulent cover. (Or as somebody said in the comments: "Predictably combining Sepultura and Ministry basically you end up with Prong". 3

southofheavy Posted February 26 Posted February 26 New Pissgrave is out. The cover is absolutely disgusting and so is the music. 2
Curt McGirt Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 Apparently that's their swansong too because they're breaking up. Not bad, make three albums in a row of the most crushing and disgusting music possible and be out. No demos, no EPs, no splits, no sticking around past your sell-by date. And honestly, if they'd only put out the one album, that would have probably been enough really. 1

southofheavy Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Havukruunu put out their new album, Tavastland, last week. https://youtu.be/bLVJ5SdGCes?si=dYp8OFXbRhPzMEon I've really, really been looking forward to this one and it fuckin' RULES. Epic Finnish black metal, with a damn near power metal touch. Don't take that in a bad way, it's just that this shit is gonna rally the troops and make you wanna ride a black dragon. Lots of choral chanting and riffs EVERYWHERE. 1
zendragon Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Listening to the Battlezone albums on spotify I can't help but feel that rather than continuing the style of two first two Iron Maiden albums Paul Dianno try's to show the world what it would have been like if he sang on Powerslave and NOTB. There's nothing really bad about the albums but the most notable thing is that the singer used to be in maiden
Curt McGirt Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 On a similar tip, I listened to Atomkraft with Demolition Man, the guy who replaced Cronos in Venom and man... not good. He was great when I saw him in Venom, Inc.! He's fine on Prime Evil (and sounds just like Cronos)! But he suuuuuucks on their Future Warriors album, like actively makes them unlistenable. Apparently he was a friend of Mantas, which is still an odd basis on which to hire a singer.
zendragon Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I like the songs he did as the front man in Venom Blacken are the Priests and Prime Evil. But he was great doing the early stuff in Venom Inc 1
Curt McGirt Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 The darkest Trouble album. It's no coincidence that the title track could have been written by Autopsy. RIP Eric Wagner 1
FireThunder Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Volbeat can be hit or miss for me but the riff in this new single is tight as hell. 2

Death From Above Posted Wednesday at 06:57 AM Posted Wednesday at 06:57 AM I am deeply, deeply proud of Crunk Starfist as an album. If somehow I was fortunate enough to be remebered for this, as my personal collossus I offer before the universe, I would be satisfied. https://suno.com/playlist/a5400562-eba6-4d70-a3f8-945240b3fb99 1
