The family's lawyer said the family wasn't even approached about the possibility at the time. The story indicated that the family is now hoping it might provided some explanation for what happened but the scientists are saying that the year long gap might make that difficult to happen. So Shanny says he wants to come back in 2014. Given how much of a circus it's been so far, I wouldn't be shocked if there was something else going on and he did come back. Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport on Twitter mentioned how Shanahan and RG3 don't even acknowledge each other at team headquarters anymore, as if they are feuding highschoolers.
