Cole Miner
Was fun watching Saric flat out own Giannis and Gallinari in back to back games. Well earned MVP award for the tournament.

Dolfan in NYC
Serbia kicked the unholy hell out of PR. Croatia got in but needed OT to put away Italy. And France beat Canada to round out the field.
Dolfan in NYC
Spain just announced that Marc Gasol hasn't healed enough from his broken foot in February and he will miss the Olympics.
Zimbra
Points to Derozan for trying that 360 poster in a game. Almost hit it, too.
jstout
These games are fun to watch for a half or so until it gets silly. China hung with the U.S. for most of the first quarter, but things got a tad out of hand quick. They were playing this neato offense where they were goading Team USA into a lot of fouls on shots. But then the bullies eventually figure out how to take the little kids' lunch money and there's not much point to it. It's just fun to watch such an all-star cast play defense and fun to watch Head Bully Boogie smack people around down low. This may be the most DVRable thing ever, to watch games for about a half or so until it gets stupid, then delete the recording and move on with your life. It's only about 2,000,000 times more enjoyable than the All-Star Game.
Dolfan in NYC
Lord do the boys look sloppy. Lucky for them China is attempting to build another Great Wall with their shots.

Brian Fowler
It's insane how much more of a complete all-around player Melo becomes in the Olympics.
GuerrillaMonsoon
Boomers gonna be shit hot in Tokyo, add in Exum, Simmons and Maker to that line up. Can't see too many missing from the current one, Bogut aside.
Niners Fan in CT
U.S. trailing Australia by 5 at the half. They'll come back and win most likely but this is far from the best team we've sent. They just look lost at times.
Brian Fowler
Oh it's clearly the worst team since '
GuerrillaMonsoon
Based on this game alone, confident that we play off again for the Gold Medal, just as confident we get rolled by about 20 more next time around. Based on every other Olympics where we look super good against everyone else, put up a valiant effort against the US, we'll get smashed by Lithuania in the semis. jstout
That was quite the spectacle. Australia played so hard, so physical. Even when they had that down quarter in the third, they hung right in there. Fourth Olympics and Anthony just led them to the win (with some help from Irving). Poor Thompson wants to come off the bench to try to turn his slump around ... and continues slumping.
Brian Fowler
Carmelo Anthony is legitimately one of the greatest international players of all-time. I don't understand why he's so much better than NBA Carmelo, but it's undeniable.
Niners Fan in CT
When Melo had a talented team in Denver they were pretty damn good and he was giving the Lakers fits in one of those series. I think it just really sucks playing on horrible teams all the time. Melo for the U.S. has guys who he can trust. On Australia, don't forget they have Exum and Maker and Ben Simmons for future teams. They will be an international powerhouse.
jstout
Jeez, the U.S. is not afraid to play disjointedly. They just can't seem to move the ball, and Serbia kinda just pushed them around after that strong start. If the U.S. wins the gold, they're gonna earn it. Sometimes you have to be lucky AND good. That was a crazy play. The U.S. gave up too many easy buckets. What happens when no one's as hot as Thompson was today? Good offensive showing, but they're gonna have to crank up the defense.
