Big Fresh
BTW - the original Mass Effect is one of the games Microsoft has in the preview group for backwards capability. So yeah... still playing these fuckers over and over You know that Bioware is just going take a nod from the Master Chief collection and remaster the ME Trilogy just to fuck with you, right? I thought they were gonna announce that yesterday for certain.
Eivion
I'm surprised they didn't announce it. Flynn already asked people about what they would want on remastered trilogy for the new gen systems last year so you sort of already know its being worked on. RIPPA
Part of me wonders if they are saving it for N7 day. If they have it ready to go - announce it and have it ready for sale in like a week - you can get at least 6 weeks of Holiday buying. Plus - it gives folks a year to play through all the games at least once
Andrew POE!
I hope Mass Effect Andromeda is more of a Firefly to Mass Effect Trilogy's Star Trek. Basically no amount of goodwill and helping other alien races will help you. That is total bullshit. In these games, I look forward just as much to winning friends and influencing people as I do to blowing things up. I am a charismatic coalition builder and a deadly warrior. PARAGON~! What I mean is I want it to be more of a 'space western' where the elements are just as likely to kill people in the game as much as the enemies. The first Mass Effect actually did this but the later games strayed a bit. I also don't want my main character to be "Space Human Jesus" like Shepard was in the main trilogy. I want him/her to just try to survive and hope everyone on his/her ship doesn't try to stab their commander in the back so they can get their cut. Sure, the character will have loyalty to others but it's more of his loyalty than their loyalty. Who knows, they won't do any of this.

Give me a guy / gal like Shep with a sense of honor and purpose that has the charisma and will to inspire people to be better than self serving droogs. I like the frontier feel of the game, but I would like the games to be a bit more intimate. I'm kinda tired of saving the universe. Squaring off against the local threat of the week works for me. Pirates. Red Sand Dealers, anything but world destroying machines.

J.T.
That's not nice. You are trying to overthrow the Council, man. Besides, this new game is going to take place in a new galaxy. I imagine that there will be a whole new slate of alien races to deal with.
RIPPA
Well its going to have new and old alien races - since photos have definitely shown Krogans and like 99% certain Salarians

Chaos
I need to run through the trilogy before a remaster comes out. I bought the trilogy on its release date, and I am still not past the Liara's Dig Site mission on the first one. I'd be annoyed by double dipping if I didn't at least play through this trilogy. Y'all do understand that Paragon Shep also left a bodycount in the tens of millions across an entire galaxy. King Arthur was noble, just and fair. He also lopped off people's heads with a magical sword.

So the Toadstools behead Peach and allow Bowzer to fill the power vacuum and install unchecked despotic rulership. No wonder I don't vote Libertarian. J.T.
Bowser is George Washington. So the fire-breathing dragon turtle with an army of Bob-ombs and Thwomps at his back is a liberator. The Nazis at least had the good taste to drink the same Jonestown Kool-Aid they poured down other people's throats.
GojiColin
Y'all do understand that Paragon Shep also left a bodycount in the tens of millions across an entire galaxy. It's more the feel of the game versus the previous trilogy. I want something that gets into and fleshes out the Merc corps, the criminal underbelly and all that. We've gotten tastes of it (Shadow Broker and Omega) but I want more of it. Why couldn't the MC be a grunt of one of the merc corps or some small time crook stuck on some backwater planet? Who doesn't love a good Han Solo story?

J.T.
Who doesn't love a good Han Solo story? Yeah, but Han Solo was a likeable scoundrel and it bugs me that "honor" is somehow equated with a lack of resolve. Also, I have seen Bioware's depiction of "Renegade" and that dude is an asshole. I also think that a story with a smaller scale would work out best. I still think that Bioware missed the boat when they never pursued a DLC that featured Garrus's story during the time he was Archangel.
