odessasteps Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Surprised no one posted that "sure dick" iron man panel going around. ":)
Brian Fowler Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 Every once in awhile, I feel compelled to point out how much I love this cover. Slightly abstract, but not really. Perfectly captures everything you could possibly need to know about Emma Frost in one single shot. Man, I love Frank Quitely. 2
J.H. Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 "I've suddenly had an epiphany. Like St. Paul on the road to Damascus". Probably the best line in E For Extinction (along with "Breeding, top class breeding") James 2
twiztor Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 OK, so it's a tranq gun and Cheshire doesn't die. but thought it was fitting with all this talk of Grayson 007.
Brian Fowler Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 Man, shooting his good friend's fuck buddy. Not cool, Dick.
Brian Fowler Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 Seriously, WHY THE FUCK HASN'T DC HIRED HIM AND MADE THIS REAL GOD DAMMIT?!?! 2
twiztor Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 the last few years, i decided to read every Batman story. yes, EVERY story. starting with Detective #27 (1939) until the end of the Flashpoint universe. And let's be honest, i'll read the nu52 also. Anyway, it's been a hell of a ride so far. so, here's what i read yesterday: i've never read Knightfall before. i've never read the issue in question, but i did (of course) know that Bane broke Batman's back. but reading the series leading up to this has been awesome. the introduction of Jean Paul Valley. the backstory of Bane. seeing Bruce get more and more worn down, all while seeing Bane orchestrating all of this and planning each and every move. it's been fascinating.
Ace Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 YES! YES! YES! I would buy DC again if Mike Maihack were writing/drawing a Batgirl/Supergirl comic.
Brian Fowler Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 I honest to god don't understand why they haven't hired him to at least do a short mini-series all ages book based on those strips.
Lazlo Woodbine Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 My favourite Judge Dredd strip ever, spoilered because it's all 9 pages of it. By John Wagner and Peter Doherty, who also did another of my favourites that sadly isn't online, where a Judge goes nuts at someone for farting on a bus. The range, from that to this, is incredible.
cool arrow Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Spoilered for size, this isn't a real comic, but it should be. 3
assfax Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 This Nausicaä boxset is blowin' my mind. I didn't know Miyazaki's art was an insane combo of Mœbius and Robert Crumb. I'd seen his sketchbook stuff but this is amazing. I think the film is amazing and this book is about a billion times better. 1
