davidb Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 One of my favorite Gambit pieces - by Greg Hildebrandt. On a funny side note - I had one of these and it got destroyed in various moves. Bought a new house and picked up another copy of the poster to go in my comic room. The poster never made it to the new place. That was a couple of years ago and I'm still not sure whatever happened to it.
Tele-Viper Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Been re-reading my old West Coast Avengers, lots of great covers in that run:
Justin877 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 More Kirby goodness in honor of what would have been his 96 bithday. HAIL TO THE KING!
J.H. Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I can't think of a better page that sums up why Superman is important! James 1
Territorial Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 What is this from, anyways? And the Superman panels sum up what I didn't like about the movie better than any explanation ever would.
Bustronaut Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 It's from Deadpool #11, where he goes back in time and masquerades as Peter Parker for a reason I forget.
elizium Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 In honor of World Suicide Prevention Day. That whole sequence is so great, when Superman overhears her doctor pleading with her on the phone to hold on, to him rushing over there even though he was already dealing with something else. Train derailment? I can't remember. That's the page I show people when they ask me why I like Superman as a character so much. No matter what, Superman wants to help everyone. Also, Grant Fucking Morrison. 1
Tele-Viper Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Moon Knight had some great covers back in the day:
J.T. Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 The Last Galactus Story is the best unfinished comic story ever.
Lazlo Woodbine Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Slaine's expression in the last panel is amazing.
Pete Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Who hasn't wanted to punch Vanilla Ice in the face at one point or another?
Brian Fowler Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 That is a great page. Just... great.
J.H. Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I'm pretty sure I remain the only person I know that bought EVERY issue of Crystar: Saga of The Crystal Warrior. More importantly I I'm positive that I'm the only person that actually STILL likes it!
elizium Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I've always loved that page of how the different worlds perceive Galactus. Good choice.
Brian Fowler Posted December 25, 2013 Author Posted December 25, 2013 I maintain my (now annual, I guess) position that DC not hiring Mike Maihack to turn this into an ongoing all-ages book is proof that the entire management should be fired. 1
Brian Fowler Posted December 25, 2013 Author Posted December 25, 2013 It started as part of the DC New Fifty-Too blog thingy a couple years ago, then he did a few strips, and now he just does a new one every year on Christmas (he also did a hilarious one this year for Halloween.) You can see them all right here http://mikemaihack.tumblr.com/tagged/BGSG-Comics
