glfpunk Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I can't wait for Weidman to KO Silva again 1
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I don't want to watch this. I hope Weidman contracts tetanus and can never fight again
The Natural Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I can't wait for Weidman to KO Silva again In spoiler tags for size: Big interest in the two title fights. 2
Zero Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I really don't know what's going to happen. I could see Chris subbing Ando, or Silva just demolishing him. 1
The Natural Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I really don't know what's going to happen. I could see Chris subbing Ando, or Silva just demolishing him. I don't either. Makes it intriguing. Hope Rousey vs. Tate's as good as their first fight which is my favourite WMMA bout.
TheVileOne Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Any chance Silva will retire if he loses? I get the sense he only gets up for his boxing match with Roy Jones Jr. That's the only fight he seems to care about right now. It's his "dream" fight.

Mr Harms Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I'm no MMA expert, but Silva surely isn't gonna dick around like that again. He's gonna be in serious kill mode.
TheVileOne Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I'm not ruling it out, but Silva is an older dude. And I also wonder if UFC 162 was the start of seeing Silva get old in the sport.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 or Chris Weidman is good at punching people in the face and it's best to avoid those punches. 1
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Yeah because that's exactly what happened, there was nothing Anderson did to give Weidman an advantage.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 Yeah because that's exactly what happened Yep
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 You should post on the UG they're your type of people.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 No, I like trolling a troll too much.
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 It's not really trolling pal. You need to work on it.
Jrag Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 If Silva comes out firing in round 1, what is the combined length of the two title fights?
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 It's not really trolling pal. You need to work on it. U MAD If Silva comes out firing in round 1, what is the combined length of the two title fights? I don't Anderson doing that because it's not really his style. He is still a counter puncher first, and Weidman is very happy to oblige him. Thus, Weidman's approach is more important to the fight than Anderson not taking most of round one off.
glfpunk Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I think Weidman is too good. He holds an advantage on the ground and he's not afraid of Silva in the standup. Silva started that clowning routine because he was visibly frustrated with his not being able to really do anything against Weidman. He didn't get in Weidman's head, it was the other way around. 1
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 An advantage on the ground, except Silva escaped his sub and blocked all but one of his takedowns. The myth of Weidman grows by the day. 1
Jrag Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I don't think that's true. Silva was doing an exaggerated version of what he always does in an attempt to set up his counter punches. It didn't work. That's one of the reason why I expect he might go big in the first round this time instead of his regular feeling out process. If he does that it could be a quick fight win or lose. I doubt Tate survives as long as she did last time.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 I'm one of the biggest Anderson Silva fans you'll ever find, but it's hard to doubt Weidman once he beat a guy that has more title defenses than he has fights. No matter who wins on 12/28, someone is going to play the "he wasn't that good to begin with" angle for the loser and that's just downright pathetic.

I doubt Tate survives as long as she did last time. He was going above and beyond anything before. Weidman looked tired at the start of the second, if Silva wasn't such a cock it was setting up nicely for him.
