I'll probably have words tomorrow. I want to say sorry to Oyaji who has been a level headed and good fan throughout.

I honestly don't know what to think right now. I'm shaking.

Congratulations JR and all the other Cavs fans. That was a tremendous, historic comeback and they worked their asses off to win this. Amazing, and I'm a little in shock right now. I honestly didn't see them winning more than one even with a broken down Curry because of GSW's amazing depth. I'm not a die hard Warriors fan but have had a love for them since the Baron Davis miracle series over the Mavs in '07 with those terrible jerseys. Feel more for Phil and the true die hards.

We know how great Kyrie, LeBron and Tristan Thompson (holy shit, he was legitimately amazing) were this series, but Kevin Love manned the fuck up tonight. Great on the glass and found enough of a scoring touch to be that tertiary guy they needed. After a rough few seasons in Cleveland, I still think it would benefit both parties for a move but he accounted himself incredibly tonight.

If the Warriors won the game Dray would have been the MVP for them.  Iggy got it last year. I know it's "just an award" to some people but the greats aren't consistently outplayed by their teammates for long stretches.

No hate on Curry but man, when people started saying he's better than LeBron, I just didn't see it. Definitely not yet.  LeBron still the king.

Over the course of 82 games, Steph was better. But Lebron was better when it mattered most. I suspect age plays a big role there, James was keeping himself fresh. Toss in Steph struggling, either injured or just a really poorly timed slump, and Lebron having arguably the best stretch of his career the last five games...

Steph deserved MVP. James is still better.

Harrison Barnes should have taken the money last offseason. The Cavs did what they needed to win, Draymond was the only Warrior to do what he needed to do. Kerr with some questionable decisions in the second half of game 7 of the NBA Finals.

This time next year, Cleveland?

The big one to me was sticking Varejao for so long and inserting Ezeli in late in the 4th. I get why he went with Anderson, because when they went small last game LeBron was killing them on the interior, but they were eating both Festus and Anderson alive on switches tonight.

Yes, I look at it like I looked at Steve Nash. Nash was an amazing player and made everyone around him better. What he did in Phoenix turning them around was incredible. But was he ever the best at any point? I didn't think so.  Maybe Curry will be the best one day, but that title still belongs to King James.

He was easily the best player in the regular season this year and I thought he was decisively better last year too. He needs to be able to get through the 82 game grinder without getting as beat up as he has because he's had two brutal playoff runs in a row with a few glimmers of the real Steph here and there. Obviously not enough for people to overreact and throw him under the bus when looking at the bigger picture though.

He's changed the way professional basketball is played. He's an evolutionary force but that doesn't mean he's infallible.

Shaq really should have gotten that first MVP, just so we don't have to explain Steve Nash, back to back MVP.

I think it's gonna be real easy to undersell how good Steph was this year. First player to ever average 30+ ppg while playing under 35 minutes a game. The lynchpin of a team that won 73 games... The argument he had replaced Lebron seemed arguable until very recently.

So you think he's a better player than James? I mean, that's the only discussion going on. It's not like someone said Tristan Thompson is better. MVP is a regular season award and Steph deserved it. But for me it doesn't mean he's a better all-around player than LeBron.

This is the perfect way to send Skip Bayless off to purgatory..I mean Fox Sports.

I didn't even notice that the Warriors didn't score in the last 4 and half minutes.  OKC ouch.

I'm not going to be as hard as Curry as others.  He had his moments and even in the game 6 meltdown, he was great offensively.  He was relying very heavily on his outside shot though.  He wasn't getting to the basket, which may be health related.  However, when he did go to rim on fast breaks, troll Lebron was stalking him from behind.

I think he was better over the course of the season than James, yes. I think having Steph this year during the season gave you a better chance win then having Lebron.

But chips down, now or never, here's King James

Hope this is an omen for a Cubs World Series title in a few months. Just let all the long suffering fan bases off the hook in one fell swoop.

Only if you can somehow book a Buffalo Superbowl in there somehow. . . .

I think the big thing LeBron has is that he's built like (and worked hard to build up and maintain his body) the ideal athlete and can stand up to the rigors of the schedule and playoffs better than the relatively frail Curry. I don't know who's better in a video game setting though.

Didn't 2K sports say something about not being able to make Steph as good as he actually is for the game, because the engine wouldn't allow those 30' threes and such?

Midway said the same about LeBron. Can't just have 9 for every rating. Except he should.

Gotta give Tristan Thompson some love.  He was legitimately guarding Steph Curry straight up at stretches in this game. Curry got him a couple time of course, but I was shocked he was staying with him for so long.

Was '95 the year that had the missing starts hidden if you entered the right stuff in the create a player?

But yeah, it was his range and hitting off the bounce threes while the engine was built to reward passing and smart open shots.  Anyway, we digress

Yes draft picks and MJ were hidden. SNES. I went 79-3 with the Raptors. Sorry that was '96. Like how Shaq and MJ weren't in NBA Jam. Also hooked up Magic with ratings when he came back and put him at PG.

I have said for a few years the LeBron is clearly the best player I've seen. The last olympics he won games by himself. He can play anywhere from 1-4. And also centers don't really exist anymore. Amazing.

Put down the pills man.

The Olympics?  You could leave three players off the Olympics squad and still win a Gold.

Best player?  Nah, sorry.  Kyrie Irving was the series MVP.  Hands down.

I'm not defending Curry, he struggled, but Lebron actually committed more turnovers than Steph

Were LeBron's turnovers on lazy behind the back passes that would be stupid in your driveway?
