Cris Cyborg vs. Lina Lansberg is the main event for the UFC Brasilia show on 9/24.

Bisping vs. Henderson 2 has been finalized for UFC 204 on 10/8.

Which could lead to a mini middleweight tournament. It sounds like Hendo is likely to retire win or lose and take a job with UFC.

If you were to draw up an all-time top 10 MMA 185'ers (so far), obviously Anderson Silva would be number 1, but Hendo definitely somewhere in the top 10, right? Who else is in there?

I think in terms of accomplishment it's Anderson, Hendo, then like a giant cluster of fighters you can rearrange for that middle pecking order between Weidman, Jacare, Rockhold, Bisping, Romero, Belfort, and then you have fighters like Franklin, Okami, Sonnen, and Misaki. Maybe you add like your Machidas and Mousasis somewhere in that, but it's highly debatable since you have a crop of fighters who moved up and down weight classes with varying degrees of success. You have outliers like Ninja, Jorginho, and Uriah Hall who have maybe a few notable wins at best.

At one point, maybe six or seven years ago, that list would have included that SuperBrawl/ICON Sports trio (Mayhem/Lawler/Trigg), Lindland, Kang, and a few other fighters. All those dudes pretty much have been unceremoniously removed, and you have someone like Lawler win the world title in a lower weight class and put better names on his resume than when he fought at middleweight.

So it's gonna take awhile before everything shakes out, and there can be even more changeover.

And then you have legendary level guys who really weren't at 185 in their careers much (because the division didn't exist in their promotion at the time), but should have been, like Sakuraba and a few of the Gracies. But if Bisping beats Hendo, having already beaten Anderson, a case could be made for him. It wouldn't be a good case, it wouldn't be correct, but it could be made.

No way he retires if he wins.  He wouldn't retire when he went on a 2-6 stretch.

Sakuraba could have won some fights at 185, but I believe he would have been best served at 170 or maybe like a 175 Rumble on the Rock style catchweight.

Savage has stated that at this point, it's pretty much academic. They offered him a job, and he accepted.

People were saying Fedor signing with the UFC was pretty much a done deal before he signed with Rizin.

This isn't Fedor though. If Bisping didn't beat Rockhold, he was going to walk away after the Lombard fight. That's the only reason he signed to fight Bisping again is because he got that fight for the title. He would have retired if they gave that fight to anyone else. In June, he said he wanted that to be his retirement fight and got his wish. He only fought on because he only had a couple fights left on his deal, which was fulfilled after the Lombard fight. Savage is pretty close to Henderson being a SoCal dude and all. So it's not like he is getting his info from some third hand reports plus Dan clearly has stated he wants it to be his retirement fight.

Not sure if this goes here, but the documentary that FOX has been shooting about CM Punk will finally air a week from today. Not sure if it's on FOX, FS1 or what, but there ya go.

Is it just footage of him getting annihilated in training?

Maybe. I see his wife is involved in this as well.

Should be good. 203 might do a bigger number than normal. It's a good card. 204 also have a selling point and of course 205 is MSG. Not a bad stretch.
